The train will also have a toilet, a facility that conventional MEMU rakes have lacked so far.
A senior official from Southern Railway said two services are operated to Nellore from Chennai at present. One leaves Chennai in the morning and returns at noon, while another leaves Chennai in the afternoon and returns late in the evening.

Various Rail Developmental Works and Passenger Amenities
at Nellore Railway Station
Shri Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice President of India will inaugurate/dedicate various rail developmental works and passenger amenities/facilities to the Nation in the august presence of Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Railways and Coal at a function to be held at Nellore Railway Station at 09.30 hrs on 21st February, 2019.
The Hon’ble Vice President will:-

• Inaugurate New Railway Line between Venkatachalam-Vellikallu and Obulavaripalli-Cherlopalli Stations (Part of Krishnapatnam-Obulavaripalli New Railway Lines Project).
• Lay the foundation store for Provision of Passenger Amenities at all Railway Stations from Krishnapatnam to Rapuru (Part of Krishnapatnam-Obulavaripalli New Railway Lines Project).
• Announce the Passenger Train Operations between Venkatachelam-Rapuru Stations from 25th December, 2019.
• Lay the foundation store for redevelopment of Nellore Railway Station.
• Inaugurate New Foot Over Bridge at Nellore South Railway Station.
• Inaugurate Upgraded Passenger Amenities at Tirupati Railway Station (via Remote Video Link).
• Dedicate Free High-Speed Wi-Fi facility at Nellore, Gudur and Renigunta Railway Stations to the Nation.
• Dedicate New Booking Office at Akkampet Railway Stations to the Nation.
• Dedicate New Foot Over Bridge and New Booking Office at Tiruvottiyur Railway Station to the Nation (via Remote Video Link).
• Dedicate Subway in lieu of Level Crossing No.34 at Gummidipundi to the Nation (via Remote Video Link).
• Flag of Nellore-Chennai Central MEMU Service.
