A lot of thanks to fellow railfan Sayantan Banerjee for telling me about the loco number of the Passenger.
BAGHAJATIN Fast Passenger follows the Howrah- Santragachi- Kharagpur- Balasore- Bhadrak route. Its regular link is BKSC WAG- 5.
East Coast Express runs along the East Coast of India between Vijayawada and Howrah and hence the name. Earlier days originating station of this train used to be from Guntur where it was hauled by Steam Engine. The train follows the Howrah- Kharagpur- Bhubaneshwar- Khurdah Road- Vishakapatnam- Vijayawada- Kazipet- Secunderabad- Hyderabad route to cover 1589 kms in 30h45m with 56 halts enroute. Earlier it used to get SRC WAP- 4 in between VSKP and HWH. But now its regular link has become either WAP- 4 or WAM- 4 of VSKP shed.
