lowerberth quota is for both ladies and snr ctzn. Under snr ctzn quota, you are eligible to get concession.

There is in fact no senior citizen quota as such. It is only an LB quota for which males 60 years of age or above, females 45 years of age or above and pregnant ladies TRAVELLING ALONE are eligible.

There is no exclusive quota for Senior Citizens. The lower berth quota is meant for following categories:-
Males above 60 years travelling alone
Females above 45 years / pregnant ladies travelling alone.

It is to be noted that if there are two senior citizens, they are required to fill two reservation forms, in order to avail the lower berth quota.
