Sir railways will always have their catch on the passanjars and I will tell u why.
- The airfares that you see are exclusive of the transaction charges which is around rs 150-200 and will keep increasing.
- The UDF is being raised and it will the only go upwards
-all are low cost airlines. But a pakat of cashews having 6 full and...
more... 3 half pieces and it costs rs 70. Buy water just enough to swallow a tablet and pay rs 30. If you want to swalow capsule rs 60
-you cancel a 4000 tikat and you lose rs 2000.But you cancel a 5000 tikat on IR and you lose 100 only.
-Taxi to the airports may be 600-800 rs. But autorikshaw to the railway station rs 50-100 only.
-Many peepull suffer from the fear of flying, they will take train only.
Unless you are a high flying corporate whose tickets are reimbursed by your company and who values time more than anything you will travel in train.
-Most indians have too much time, they can afford the time.
-Too many concessions on IR.
And above all Indians genetically and historically fans of trains. Only a minute percentage of them are on IRI. Others dont say it but the affection is always there.
Yes low fares and promo fares will snatch away some from IR 1 AC but a majority will always remain here. They will always remain loyal.
