As mentioned several times before, this is a community-oriented site, dedicated to rail travel and ever striving to refine and improve its information content and database. This site has never claimed to be 100% accurate or that our Admins are all-knowing rail experts. In fact, mistakes and errors are freely accepted on this site. Member-related features are released on a periodic basis to improve our visitors' experience within the site. Admins are appointed from time to time, based on their interest, enthusiasm and earnestness. This site is not elitist, in that Admins do not need to be correct all the time, as long as they are open-minded, freely make mistakes and are willing to correct them.

and members do NOT get any monetary reward for blogging here. So what do they get? Reputation, a sense of community and belongingness. As the internet becomes more and more ingrained in our daily activities, this site increases in popularity and its overall quality reputation improves, it is expected that our Admins' and member's reputation will also increase - and who knows - it might ultimately yield some tangible benefits with the passing of the years. But then maybe not.
If any Admin or Member feels frustrated with this site, feels unrewarded, or has a loss of confidence or trust in this site, they are free at any time to quit. Since the very beginning, this was a no-pressure, no-obligation website. We do not pressure our Members or Admins to visit the site or make blog posts or updates. In fact, most other reputed websites on the internet - Facebook, Twitter, Google are known to send EMail reminders to people persuading them to visit their respective sites. This may be one of the very few sites that does not even request our long-time Admins to visit the site if they are absent for months on end. Once again, if any Member or Admin does not agree with how this site is run or feels they are wasting their time or feels that their efforts are being exploited, this is the time to rethink and stop your activities.
Every person owes it to himself/herself to weigh his/her options in engaging in internet activities. Every person visits and participates in this site of his/her own free will and accord. Everyone should exercise their choice and choose from all available avenues available on the internet. Please do so. People may quit/return whenever they choose.
Although Admins are appointed based on their initial blog entries, enthusiasm and willingness to learn (and not necessarily on their rail expertise), they do need to enjoy the trust and confidence of other Admins. Recently, our admin Rahul's privileges were put on hold. This was not because of his bad intentions, but because some of his errors caused our other Admins to redo their edits resulting in additional effort. Although we don't mind errors, the withholding was so that he exercises more diligence in the future. However, we do recognize Rahul's good intentions and enthusiasm - people like him are our country's future - we encourage him in all his creative endeavours.
Another Admin Manoj's privileges were revoked because of what seemed to be deliberately bad PNR stampings favouring his own predictions. Since then, we have received word from Manoj that he had been away for a few days, and his computer/identity were stolen/misused to tarnish his reputation. Once he assures us that his identity is safe, we shall reinstate his Admin privileges.
Please let us know of any concern/doubt you may have. It is once again reiterated that mischief-mongers, vandals and nuisance-makers are strictly not tolerated on this site. This site does not owe any explanation, and such bloggers will be banned, and their posts can be removed at any time.
We respect and welcome one and all to this site, but felt that the above caveat and disclaimer needed to be made.
