KR’s phone grievance system launched.
Union minister for railways Suresh Prabhu recently inaugurated the phone grievance registration system (PGRS) of the Konkan railway corporation (KRC).
The system enables passengers travelling on the route to register their grievances pertaining to various issues 24X7 on a toll-free number 18002665725, says a press note. Upon dialing the number, the passenger is prompted to record his/her grievance. An audio file is created which is then attended to by officials of the KRC. more... railway already has an SMS grievance number 9004470700 where passengers can SMS their complaint regarding any passenger related service. The PGRS number 18002665725 will also enable passengers to voice record their grievance, the note adds.
