ER loads max stone chips in BOBYNs which are not all counted in revenue because BOBYNs are meant for rlys internal consumption ..similarly NFR trying to make some losses from.KIR& ApDJ div by loading Dolomite,POL & Cement but the enormous expenses in gauge conversion in the tough terrain of North East is only adding to growing expenditure the losses which can't be recovered in future too..Lumding Silchar GC is a total loss maker for NFR plus Brahmaputra North Bank has at least twice the No if river bridges when compared to South Bank..

These are some reasons why IR can not run in huge profit yes they can make some feel good areas in some very wealthy areas or section and rest of country will remain as they were 50 years back.
We must not forget that IR has huge social responsibility and govt gives least support compared to other infrastructure areas.

It seems that our country's financial condition doesn't allow IR to perform its social obligations ..that's why routes in interior areas are getting neglected day by day

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
