As the gate closes, this red lamp used to rotate towards the road, you can see the sides towards the track is covered. And a cog rings the bell just below it, it's an old mechanical gear system attached to the gates. This one is the last one remained on the section from dmw halt to 24 no crossing in Patiala. All the others had been replaced by electric barriers.
