WAP 5, WAP 7 and WAG 9 are called 3 Phase Locomotives of IR which is controlled by various loco softwares. where as WAP 4 WAG 7 are conventional single phase locomotives.

speed is not only the factor........
The Grand Chord is the most conjested route of the Indian Railways. The Bengal Rajdhanis and all the trains to New Delhi from Bengal travel via Grand Chord passing Mughalsarai, allahabad, kanpur, ndls.
just see the howrah rajdhani.......this mighty train too which was started in 1969 is very punctual.
you just can't predict the punctuality of trains...

But when 12259/12260 Duronto was a "Biweekly Duronto"(In 2009 to 2012) then it was regularly hauled by WAP-7/WAP-5 at that time I personally travelled 3 times in this same train(2009,2010,2011) and at that time this same Duronto maintained a "Very Particular Timings". All were same at that time also dear. At that time also Grand Chord was conjested with many trains but this train was hardly seen making "Inordinate Delay".
