Dear Members,
I am traveling in 1st AC in this train on 13th April from NDLS to BCT. We are couple with 2 kids the ticket is under waiting as 2 & 3. As per the predictions given by members on PNR blog ticket chances are high for confirm. Pls advise whether we two will be provided coupe or cabin after confirmation of ticket. Would request members to share their experience of traveling in 1st AC in this train as I am traveling first time in this class.

My dear friend, you have not specified, the age of two kids. If they are below 3, and as such without a paid ticket, you will be allocated a Coupe, high chances.I will make this guess, based on fact that you are W/L 2 & 3, only two tickets for 4 persons. The logic being that no one wants to be disturbed by two children in a Cabin. If they are Half Ticket, 99.9% will be a cabin. This would be the logic normally applied by the person making Allocation for the seats on the day.
If you have traveled by this train before, service is much better in H1. Great for privacy.I had traveled last month. The food is made

to your choice. Also, you can be sure your co passengers in the coach will be ones to keep to themselves. Don't expect too much Chit-Chat in a Cabin.
Also, 1 travel tip. In case you are in a Coupe,(2 Adults + 2 Free Kids) pay the Food guy a Hundred bucks, upfront, when you board. He will make sure that you will have enough food for you and the kids. I mean the kids eat too. Even the breakfast will be served with open hand. I traveled last year in AC2, with one Half and one No Ticket Kid. Paid 50 bucks, and there was more food then we could eat.
Of course, if you are Two Full and Two Half, the above does not apply.
Don't expect the Chart to be pasted near the door, when the train comes. Was not there when I traveled. There was 1 guy who apparently was a frequent traveler. Said, always from NDLS same problem. plan your coolie accordingly. You will have to hold him till the Cabin/Coupe is allocated.
All in All it will be an enjoyable trip.
Be sure to post your comments about the trip.
Have a fantastic trip mate......

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
