60TH RAILWAY WEEK (ZONAL LEVEL) AWARDS CEREMONY HELD IN N. F. RAILWAY
Maligaon, 17th April 2015: The 60th Railway Week (Zonal Level) Awards Ceremony was held at Rang Bhawan in Maligaon today. The General Manager, Shri R. S. Virdi gave away a total of 185 Individual Awards to achievers from various departments of the five divisions and headquarters of N. F. Railway and N. F. Railway Constructions Organization. He also gave away 24 Group Awards and 37 Efficiency Shields. The Railway Week Awards have been instituted to recognize the efforts and endeavour of railway employees in efficient and dedicated discharge of their duties. The Dibrugarh Station of Tinsukia Division was adjudged the Best Kept Station for 2014-15 and the 2nd Best Kept Station award went to Hasimara station of Alipurduar Division. The Alipurduar Railway Hospital won the Best Kept Hospital award and New Bongaigaon Station of Rangiya Division won the Best Passenger Amenities Award. The Netaji Vidyapith Railway Higher Secondary School and the Railway Higher Secondary School, Maligaon won the awards for Best Railway School jointly.
The overall Efficiency Shield went to Tinsukia Division for its all-round performances.
