TRIP REPORT: SBC-TLGP
Date: July 31
Coach: SE2, 1998 Made
From: Bangalore
To: TLGP

KJM WDG4,12638
After lot of tensions, reached SBC 10.58. With 2min left for the train to start, only aim in mind was to catch it. I knew SE2 was in front, but since i was not familiar with SBC station, i ended up reaching rear end of the train. Then it was a long walk to front, with full caution. If train starts, get into the compartment which is closer to me. Since the PF was curved, i was not able to see the signal also. But as i reached towards front, just after the general coaches, RED was clearly visible. That was huge relief. After crossing AC, reached SE2. After getting into my berth(SL), took a deep breath, relaxed and once again moved out to check what is happening out. Our loco had just finished its coupling process, now LP/ALP was doing some checks.
Finally signal was given, sitting in second compartment, I could feel the engine. Mr Silencer was not in silent mode. WDG4, was chugging hard, horns. Never thought that WDG4 can make such huge noise. With the beautifu; music from loco, finally went to sleep after YPR.
Train was fully packed, interiors were not that bright, may be bcoz people already switched of light at SBC. Only two charging point near the door. SE1 and SE2 were connected, but not connected to AC coach.
Around 4.30 i got up, train was 75% empty, realized that train is currently in shimoga, most of commuters were to shimoga. Decided to catch sleep for another hour. Got up at 5.30, opened window, it was raining, mist every where, it was really nice view with our g4's sound. As the time went of, day was taking over. Train slow downed, entered loop line, and then again acceleration. There waits KJM's WDP 4D with Talguppa-Mysore Passenger. At 6.45, train was in Sagara, and then only ppl left in our coach were we friend's. Few people told us, get down here. In Talguppa, you won't find anything. But since we have booked everything there, we proceeded. With paddy field on both sides, wet land, cool breeze, single line, and the music of train.
Sharp 7.15 train moved in to TLGP, the first thing i did was to capture WDG4. LP/ALP didn't say anything. They transferred loco to another LP, who did the loco reversal, for its next run as SMET Passenger. Everything happened in fraction of 10min.
PICS will be posted later. :)

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
