Since there is an Umbrella (Unusual Coalition) State Govt in Bihar so I just feel that the 1990s or Early 2000s era for West Bengal Trains to North Indian States like Punjab should not come back. It was the time of train robberies, stoppage addition at every 3rd station and what not. At the moment, the Durgiana Express only has 1 stoppage in Bihar and that is Gaya Jn which is justified since the city is meant for pilgrimage. Addition of Dehri-On-Sone, Sasaram, AN Road and Bhabua Road will destroy the SF tag of this train if there is political pressure. Now I even feel that the Pantry Car may NEVER be added to Durgiana Express since IR's new policy advocates the removal of this age-old concept from all trains in a phase wise manner. The policy of double deduction charges on ticket cancellation is another blow for all we passengers....
more... Carrying home cooked food and packaged food items like biscuits/namkeen mixture, etc. is the only option left for passengers of 12357 Express. The e-catering concept will not work efficiently when breakfast is to be loaded in early morning at Moradabad Jn right after Lucknow NR that comes at late night. I've suffered since my train was late at MB by an hour and biscuits + water was the only way to fill my stomach. Ache din aa gaye IR ke :(
