The Jharkhand state government is trying hard to convert Ranchi into a Railway zone that will cover the entire state. Currently the state is covered under 3 separate zones that are headquartered in other states :
South Eastern Railway - Kolkata (WB)
Eastern Railway - Kolkata (WB)
East Central Railway - Hajipur (Bihar)

Raghubar Das has sent a letter of recommendation to the Railway minister with concerns and explanations around this request. He has explained how several critical railway projects have been delayed just because the zonal head quarters don't pay full attention to Jharkhand. A local zone will prevent such roadblocks and will prove fruitful for the development of the state.
In my opinion, these points are valid. Either the South Eastern Railways HQ be shifted to Jharkhand or a new zone be created. Requesting fellow IRFians to share their opinion. #NewZone

Your reply is really funny.
Ranchi is better city because it has a better hotel LOL, contruct a five star in Patna or Bodh Gaya and you will see the business.
I invite you to visit patna, despite of not having dealers, Audi Merc BMW's are a common sight. Porsche and Jaguars can also be seen. You clearly have no knowledge about Patna.

you had been to Gaya or Patna once, you would have found many (more than you can count) students from Jharkhand who come for preparation of competitive exams. You seem to be out of logics to give

I feel seperation has been better for Bihar. Literacy in Bihar increased by 17% from 2001-2011, while it was only 14% for jharkhand, at this rate bihar's literacy will be higher than jharkhand till next census. Bihar averages growth of 10.5% in last 10 years, jharkhand is low down in the list.
Jharkhand is doing better after seperation, LOL, wake up from dreams

Ofcourse Bihar's growth rate has been higher than almost every other developed state, but that is because it was too far below and behind everyone else. So lot of catching up to do. That way the growth rates of Pakistan and Bangladesh are higher than India's, but that doesn't mean those nations are better than India. I am not trying to establish the superiority of my city over another. I am just trying to open the eyes of folks who still carry that bias from the undivided era ..i.e. looking down upon Jharkhand and Ranchi in several derogatory ways. To such people, Ranchi however it may sound is now in the forefront and one of the most promising cities of eastern region and has surpassed on many many factors to Patna when only 15-20 years back it used to languish owing to Bihar's apathy (Gaya cannot even be considered here as...

it is a Tier-3 city and never capitalized its tourism capabilities). Ranchi's Cricketing facilities developed only after JSCA was formed, and we have never been this GOOD EVER. Ranchi also has been crowned amongth the highest Tier II employment generating city, if that indicator can be considered significant. So really thankful that we are on our own and making great strides in every aspect. Of course there need and scope of improvements in every aspect but the path is right which is displayed in terms of growth in all areas (Just check all the economic indicators like Per Capita Income, Tax Collections, Revenues, Education, Literacy, Hospitality, Sporting Infrastructures, Industries, Medical ..We are ahead of the mother state)

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
