be hauled by diesel locomotives.Trains like Gorakhdham Exp,Kalindi Exp and ANVT-Mau Exp too show their brutality under the wired territory once the Diesel loco takes the charge.The latest train to join the band wagon of Diesel hauled trains is the prestigious Vaishali Express.Ever since it's shift to LKO,the Vaishali Express is now getting an EMD end to end.So with the incoming news,i too got tempted to get a glimpse of it as this change of link was for a short duration.
As the temptation was getting the better of me, i made sure that this capture was done asap.So i landed at Hathras Jn,just to get the glimpse of the EMD aggression while it takes charge of the ECR's pride Vaishali Express.
After witnessing some great electric action,the time came for the EMD to lay a smackdown, a quote made famous by The Rock,on the Hathras Jn. Regular updates from NTES,helped in me in gearing up for the penultimate moment.It was just at the stroke of 11pm,that a heard a humming sound approaching from the West end of the station.As the humming and the honk grew louder,i took my position by sitting on the slab and i was ready to witness the ferocity of the Vaishali Express this time with the EMD as it's new power.As the Beast approached the station the humming grew more and more louder and it appeared as if a Boeing jet was going to take off. :D .The penultimate moment came when the Siliguri WDP-4 led 12554 Vaishali Express announced it's arrival with a powerful honking show,which literally damaged my ear drums,and then belted past the Hathras Jn station at full notch.The powerful impact created by the roaring EMD left the station in shackles as the 24 coacher Vaishali Express sprinted past in no time and in the process generated some great track sounds which almost acted as an icing on the cake.
I was quite lucky to get a glimpse of this train with EMD,as after the electrification work gets completed b/w Gonda-Gorakhpur,this train will run with electric loco end to end.
