I would like to share my experiences recently on my journey to my home town in kerala. I have posted my PNR No 2645690171 in this forum for getting your predictions and almost all of you predicted it will be confirmed, as my booking status at the time of booking was WL 4 to 6 RSWL in Trivandrum Rajdhani 3A. The ticket was an e-ticket, the status of this booking get changed only one day before the journey on 14th May 2011 and it came down to WL 1 to 3. Nothing has happened and my ticket was static at WL 1 2 3 and I could not able to travel in that booking. Being an E-ticket it was not a valid one and gets it cancelled automatically. I approached one of my train ticket booking agent in our vicinity and shown them my e-ticket, they informed me...

that they can get my WL confirmed even I approached them before a day. The person told me they can get a WL E-ticket confirmed for 17th May 2011. As per his advice I made a WL 12 1314 E-ticket for 17th May 2011 and given my PNR No. along with his commission for getting my thicket confirmed. On 16th May 2011 around 10.45 P.M well before chart preparation my above WL E-ticket get confirmed and seats were allotted to me in B1 coach under HO Quota. Unallotted HO Quota seats are sold in black market with the help of Train Ticket Booking agents and railway employees in chart preparation office are getting huge amounts by way of selling these tickets which was allocated to WL passengers without any extra money.

Nowadays agents are not ready to book Tatkal tickets as the irctc website is not available for the initial one hour of Reservation counter open. Only those agents can book the tickets those who are having a very close link with the booking clerks at the reservation counter. In my case I asked the agent for Tatkal ticket for 17th May 2011 for NZM TVC Rajdhani Express, but they categorically denied my request and alternatively told book a WL ticket for that day and they can get it confirmed by HO quota.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
