From what I could gather, some 25 Kms of railway line has been laid. The work on other 2 stations are on too. The line is circuitous in the sense it doesn't connect Kadapa with Bengaluru by the shortest distance i.e. via Rayachoti-Madanapalle-Chintamani (parallel to NH 340). It will surely take a long time for the completion of this line, but short term just completed stations may be opened, is what locals hope for.
-
Stations after Kadapa are:
Pebrapuram.
Ganganapalle.
Pendlimarri (some 22 Kms from Kadapa).

This line was on papers from British era it self. The plan which they were made was to Connect Bowringpet (Bangarpet Jun) to Nandyal Via vayalpadu, Rayachoti, Yerragudipadu, Proddatur ..(Source:District Gauzeeter, Cuddapah, 1911)
But our government made modifications and one part i.e Ya-Ndl recently completed. Better if they connect Mpl with Hx in coming 10 years(higher allocations made this year if it continues at least 6-7 years)

There was some news about a proposed Kolar-Whitefield direct line also to avoid reversal at Bangarpet right? Is that plan still being implemented or just a bypass at BWT?

One more great post from you about a new route. :)
Are the track-works in this section close to completion? I think an engine rolling was already done on this section some time ago if I am not wrong. Good to see 3 lines in this station. At least there will be no problem with loop lines after the route is opened.

Also Madanapalle-Srinivasapur also proposed better if they use this line without any reversal...and distance also reduced at some extent...go through swr system map will get clear information :)

Thanks.

Yes some 25 Kms of line has been laid. 3 stations have being built. Like always no sign of signalling or track switching. But still when the concretisation of PF and painting and ballast packing is completed, then probably a passenger can be started with token system. Yes no problem with looplines and LCs. All RoBs and RuBs.

line is circuitous in reaching Rayachoti. Then it joins MPL which then again joins Srinivasapura rather than CMY which is shorter.
-
When line is completed. There will 2 routes to reach MPL: one via YNK - CMY - SVS - MPL. The other KJM - BWT (or bypass) - KQZ - SVS - MPL.
-
KQZ-WFD will never take off, simply mooted due to political pressure. The land acquisition will be prohibitively costly and also when 2 routes do exist to reach KQZ (one of them grossly under utilised), there wont be need for 3rd one.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
