SECR is probably interested to develop and facilitate BSP (Zonal HQ) and R/Naya Raipur (under pressure from state govt) only, rest does not matter much.
New trains like BSP-patna, BSP-Firozpur Antyoday which does not better serve the SECR as well as CG area,

No stoppage of LTT-PURI, LTT-BBS, LTT-Kamkhya trains at Durg,

more... importance to augment BSP-KTE route than the NGP-Durg trunk route,
still no direct Indore connectivity from G, Durg, R etc

CR is more interested to introduce eastward trains from Mum/Pune etc to NGP only and SECR interested to introduce more northward/ westward/southward trains from BSP only which will probably be extended to Naya Raipur in future.
With such schemes of things Stations between NGP and R, like G, RJN, Durg, Bhilai may get lesser new trains than BSP/R in future. G shall be more than compensated due to guage converted JBP-G-Chandrapur route, but others shall not be so fortunate.
In other words, bounties of SECR shall be more concentrated on BSP/R than before.

In general zones care most for zonal HQ, state capital & divisional HQs. Other cities are normally neglected.
