* UPA announced the Pune-Mumbai-Ahmedabad HST train (Pune was dropped later on) for first time in 2009 rail budget and continue to announce it till their last budget 2014. Govt kept sleeping for over 5 years and nothing moved beyond announcements during those years. * Modi govt took over in mid-2014, got the joint study of the project timely done in 2015, loan tieup/detailed project studies etc in 2016, soil testing etc and start of ground work in 2017 at fast pace.

demonetisation, they have not learned the lesson that mindless & vehement oppositon will not work and shall backfire.
* Congress have remained in power for about six out of seven decades of freedom, and in the remaining 10 years of opposition also they failed the other govt by sudden withdrawal of support. Role of opposition is to cooperate the govt in right issues and opposing on wrong issues. They need to learn how to play the role of constructive opposition, else they will not be able to come back in power. Because the people are getting well informed & smarter (thanks to the evolution of Media) and Gandhi factor/dynastic culture is dying fast.

Citizens are not bothered about what Congress says. But how good and deserving is the project.
Mumbai ahmedabad Bullet train is not feasible at this moment when IR is ailing. We don't have proper budget for maintenance work, removing unmanned crossing. And govt is busy in spending crores of rupee in bullet train to benefit perticular class of people from perticular state.
At least this route is disaster. This is only benefitting business class of Gujarat. Though MH govt, Guj govt and centre is sharing financial burden but it's not worth for MH...

to spend crores of Money on a route which benefits only businessmen to visit their home town in Gujarat if at all bullet train is required then it should be on Delhi Chennai route to capture maximum states. TN, AP, TS, MH, MP, UP and Delhi. When it comes to national project, it should cover max states to have win win condition. Present route is only for Gujarat. Don't know why MH govt sharing burden but it won't benefit MH. I noticed stone faced Fadnavis in inaugral. Seems not happy with this project. It's PMs pet project but nation is above the individual ambition. Shame on Fadnavis he's spending tax payers money to benefit only GJ.
