Selling soft drinks and water bottles for price more than MRP by railway salesmen inside trains is one of the worst form of corruption in India. The other day a guy who bought a water bottle in Chennai-Hyderabad express was asked to pay Rs15 where as the MRP was Rs12. This guy shouted at the salesman for selling at more than mrp and the sales guy didn't utter a word and silently left after getting Rs 12. Railway commuters keep on encouraging this sort of corruption and there seems to be no full stop in the near future.
Really Bad. Even i too seen so many time regards food...they will sell it for high price with less quality.
If u come to know about the Corruption among Railway Employees,you'll simply faint...You just cant imagine how different forms of corruption exists within Rlys.My father(who is a Rly Employee for the past 37 years)says,if all the Corruption among Rlys could be eradicated,then the Railway Tracks could have made by Gold instead of Iron.
Raghu is talking of employees of railway contractors. When the railway employees used to handle catering the problem was less. We should not blame railway employees for everything
I have recently heard that railways are planning to increase the fares of food.
Till that time, pantry guys are thinking of filling gap by this way; wherever possible.

BTW i often see difference of re.1, when going to pantry car and buy, and buying from pantry guys at your berth!
