spotted this rake at Khadki's siding, the one that is close to Aundh road has CR marking, meant for which train???? Pic courtesy: my Di, who was passing through that area and while not approving of, still helps her bro's RF-ing hobby :P
very passionate seems to a bit of an overkill :P very lazy railfan is more appropriate :D :D :D and yes, it seems genetic. my dad, while not an RF, does have a fascination for huge machines, including trains. my sis is more like my mother, disapproving of my hobby, though still somehow ending up encouraging it :D PS: it seems you are also... more...

14 n 15 are also 24 coach long. But hardly any 24 coach train leaves from 14 may be due to track alignment. 15 is also 24 coach long as Mumbai howrah mail departs from 15 most of the time. 16 17 n 18 I believe can hold 26 coaches. But as of now no train in mumbai area is 25 or 26 coach long.
14 n 15 are together and of same length. But due to track alignment the starter signal is not located at the rear end of the platform no 14. Hence 14 number platform does not allow 24 coach trains
There were plans 2 years ago to convert 10,11,12 and 13 platform into 24 coach handling platforms along with complete outstation train yard remodeling without which work is impossible. No work has started yet. But now since CR is seriously thinking of converting its Parel Loco workshop into a modernised outstation terminus with pitlines I doubt whether they will consider this work now.
