सहरसा: पूर्व मध्य रेल सहरसा में प्लेटफार्म निर्माण कार्य सुस्त गति से चल रहा है। तीन महीने से अधिक दिन हो गए, लेकिन प्लेटफॉर्म निर्माण कार्य पूरा नहीं हो पाया है। 590 मीटर लंबाई में बनने वाले अब प्लेटफार्म में मिट्टी भराई कार्य चल रहा है। हालांकि प्लेटफार्म नंबर तीन के अलावा चार एवं पांच प्लेटफार्म पर जमीन भी नहीं बनीं है। रेल निर्माण विभाग के देख रेख में चल रहे निर्माणाधीन प्लेटफार्म निर्माण कार्य में प्लेटफार्म का किनारा हिस्सा को बनाया जा रहा है। पूर्व मध्य रेल सहरसा-थरबिटिया रेलखंड के बीच आमान परिवर्तन कार्य को लेकर सहरसा में नये तीन प्लेटफार्म का निर्माण कार्य दिसंबर 16 माह में ही शुरू किया गया। 31 मार्च 17 तक आमान परिवर्तन कार्य को पूरा करने का लक्ष्य निर्धारित था, लेकिन तीन माह गुजरने के बाद भी अब तक पचास प्रतिशत काम भी नहीं हो पाया है। है।

नहीं बना फुट ओवरब्रिज
सहरसा स्टेशन पर प्लेटफार्म निर्माण कार्य को लेकर पांच नंबर प्लेटफार्म से प्लेटफार्म नंबर एक पर जाने के लिए फुट ओवरब्रिज बनना प्रस्तावित है। सहरसा स्टेशन पर पूर्व से एक फुट ओवरब्रिज पहले से ही है। आमान परिवर्तन कार्य को लेकर प्लेटफार्म नंबर पांच से सीधे प्लेटफार्म नंबर एक पर जाने के लिए एक ओवरब्रिज बनाने का काम तीन महीने से अधिक दिन गुजर गए लेकिन काम शुरू नहीं किया गया। दूसरा फुटओवरब्रिज पूर्व के फुट ओवरब्रिज से जोड़ने की तैयारी में रेल प्रशासन है।

WR doesn't treat its stations equally, and definitely not MCT division.
if you stay south of Virar, life is good. If you stay north of it life gets screwed as you have few trains and many of those have pathetic quotas for the intermediate stations.

And for north sides there is quite better facility from VR itself.
EMU ppassenger are there so there is no difficulty at that route also
Infact WR gives more priorities to its route with compare to CR
As CR still do not have any bombardier rake on its teritory

Even JnS shows availablity till last day (when i traveled i booked my tickets on previous day and got window seats :P) but on day of travel the train was completely filled up and the TTE threw some people out who didn't have valid ticket.

I was going through the U.P. map, and thought an idea about making this station as the junction station, as shown in the map. This new route can also be the alternative to congested NDLS-CNB route, especially for CNB terminating trains, coming from NDLS side.
Example Shram Shakti Express, via GZB-MB-BE-HRI-ON-CNB. This overall route may take 8 hours for a superfast, but will improve the timings for NDLS-CNB pax of this train.
Also the trains from Farukhhabad (like JP-LJN Express) can come to Hardoi directly from Farukhhabad, skipping CNB (JP-CNB section

Among BSK, Vaishali, Gorakhdham etc, those take LKO-CNB-ETW-TDL route, a one or two can be diverted via LKO-HRI-FBD-SKB-TDL route. With so many trains from NDLS and Bihar to CNB, I dont think CNB will have any problem in diverting 1-2 trains.
In future, after electrification and speed upgradation of the section, Even a few Rajdhani's can also be diverted through this route.
Also, Can be an alternate NDLS-ALD route via: MB-BE-HRI-ON-UCR.
Suggestions please.

alternative routes exist even now, the primary issue is of MPS.
unfortunately, even the new lines being built aren't being build with an eye on the future and most of them are at most 110 fit; many are usually cleared for 80 or 100
As sanjeev sir said below, even if the main alternative route is made 130 fit it will go a long way in alleviating the problems of the people, beside giving the people on the alternative line faster options to travel, but no steps are being taken in that regard.

The Idea is that organizations offering logistics services, will utilize the Special Freight Train Operator (SFTO) scheme to support their customers. The rakes will be privately owned by the SFTO or leased over to them for a stipulated period and are not put into IR's wagon pool. but Mumbai has EMU's, which also means most of the passengers in WR's network are actually those who travel in locals :P I sometimes doubt a single zone can manage operations of entire Mumbai while also handling rest of MH, already CR is getting stretched thin here.
many people suggest that the region around Mumbai should be separated from from both CR and WR, and operated as single entity, that would finally allow them to focus on EMU's more without bothering about other areas, though that opinion isn't very popular with people who stay there. :P

yep, but it isn't a very popular opinion with people who stay here :P
there were rumours about WR's HQ being shifted to ADI in the early days of Modi rule, the people and political parties almost unanimously objected and the Railway ministry clarified that no such move was on cards.
