Trip Report of Return Journey from ERS
Booked the ticket on 29/03/2012 at 9 am and thanks to my stars that the servers was not down and got D10 104 Aisle seat. My cousin dropped me at ERS station at sharp 5pm. The atmosphere was Cloudy and expected any moment the sky would shed its tears. Went to see the platform arrival board and found VENAD and Jan Shatabdi will share the common platform 4. Already Venad had occupied its sheduled platform 4 and I slowly climbed the stairs when Venad gave
a blazing honk and moved way for Jan Shatabdi to come. Announced it will arrive at 5:20 but came at 5:15 and halted for 5 mins for an entire crowd to enter in.
Luckly i squeezed myself into Jan Shatabdi D10 coach and i found my seat at the other extreme. Had a green mirchi Ice cream from ERS and was in a great mood to enjoy the journey and soon the Loco WDM2 gave a calm honk and moved out of ERS. where as the ALLP MAS express occupied its regular Platform 1.
The train crawled till Aroor bridge and then picked up her speed and she had no crossings.. Went thundered past the Thuravoor and Cherthala Stations within no time and reached Alapuzha at 6:18 and with a 2 mins rest for the beast again pulled back to great speed.
The beast WDM2 just slowed down at Ambalapuzha and went again back to crazing speed. Kochuveli Bangalore express met 12075 at Ambalapuzha and another train met us at Harippad. The second stop at Kayamkulam was arrived at 1910 mins where Chennai SF was at platform 3, Kollam pass at 4.
Had a hot yummy tomato soup ( Famous for this train)
The train had again halted at Kollam its next stop at 19:40. Again spoted the new Darlings of SR the MEMUS in lights and was looking nice.. they were being parked to the tracks near the platform 3. Ernad express was made to halt at platform 8 away from Jan Shatabdi even though platform 6 empty. After a long halt of 5 mins again pulled slowly from QLN and reached VAK at 2010 with an cruising speed. From VAK, Jan Shatabdi took 20 mins to reach Trivandrum Pettah with a great speed. where she was made to halt at pettah for 10 mins for clearance. The TTE told that night trains after 7 pm wont be made to halt at Outer considering the fact not safe. many passengers got down at Pettah thanking their stars where I was cursing my stars as I had my Bike at TVC.
the train slowly crawled into TVC at 2045 hrs into platform 2.. and i rushed home to have a quick dinner and then post my trip details...
Thus concluded my trip in Jan shatabdi

Since 12075 having RSA with the other Jan Shatabdi, the rakes were exchNged and my coach was 2009 made.. good..
