Part 6
Tea was served around 700 am and breakfast around 800 am. Everytime the tray in which food was served had a paper below mentioning what all get served in each spread. Hence pax can validate whether they miss out on anything or not. And over there i...
more... noticed that it said for non-veg - egg of choice with finger chips and green peas. I got an omlette and 4 peices of so called finger chips and guess how many peas.... one.... so technically I got all. Not that I complained, but found it funny. the spread is same for 2A and 3A as indicated in the paper. Had my breakfast and the train wasnt doing all that great. It would get over 100 and then after a while slow down again. Every station we crossed already had 2-3 freight trains waiting and I was begining to worry if its getting late. I even called up my parents and told me that it seems to be getting late. However I suddenly realized we reached Bilaspur at 935 hrs. I was really surprised as the train was barely doing good speed. I checked the kms again. 230 kms in 3 hrs 15 mins since I woke up. Not all that bad, but last night's run to bhusaval by the P4 has spoiled me. RFP got up in huge numbers and started moving up and down the train. Cant recall seeing any other train on the other platforms. Had a cup of coffee from one of the stalls. the train left again suddenly without a horn, however I had seen the LP wave the flag and immediately boarded the train. If you recall berth 7 was of the TTE who never showed up. I knew the RFP would be tragetting this one. After a while at 11 am, the soup was served. And i got the biggest surprise there. They gave sweet corn. All my life, till the time i can remember (say last 20 yrs), I have never seen any other soup in Indian railways than the RED one. and the soup was nice as well. I never expected to get any corn, given the mass scale it has been made and didnt get any either. The P4 was again doing great guns and it was showing no mercy to the smallish rake. I had never felt a train move so fast since i travelled in hwh raj by a P7 a few yrs back. And def no P4 ever. It was scarily fast at times coz when you know the limit in this stretch is 120. But the P4 had no mood to heed to that it seemed.
