YouTube Video by Mr. Ritadhi Shankar and he says : "Part III of the full journey compilation aboard the Howrah Rajdhani: a full profile of the 32 km Gurpa-Gujhandi ghat section.
The ghat section is located between Koderma and Gaya on the Asansol-Dhanbad Grand Chord where the tracks cut right through the Chhota Nagpur Hill ranges with trains ascending to over 1,200 feet (387 m is Koderma's elevation) in this stretch. The tracks twist and turn through the densely forested hills which form the border between the states of Jharkhand and Bihar, creating for a spectacular sight, even during summer when the forests aren't as green as the monsoon.

The first two tunnels are actually built over an S-curve, with the train curving right and subsequently, left. The compilation ends with a full coverage of the high speed exit from the Gurpa-Gujhandi ghats. From the beginning of the first tunnel to around Dilwa, there is a strict speed restriction of about 30 kmph in this stretch. Dilwa to Gujhandi is 75 kmph, after which, the speed restriction is lifted. At Gujhandi, we meet with a Mughal Sarai WAM4 in charge of the Dhanbad-Gaya Intercity Express. The Ghaziabad WAP7 with the Rajdhani accelerates dramatically after crossing Gujhandi and races through the forests forming the base of the Chhota Nagpur Hills at a blistering pace, almost doubling its speed within a couple of minutes. We cover the 10 km between Gujhandi and Koderma, the highest point on the Grand Chord, in approximately 5 minutes at an average speed of 120 kmph: the speed at Koderma during the crossing is 130 kmph sharp.
A 2 hour delay in the Howrah Rajdhani's departure from New Delhi permitted a full view of the Chhota Nagpur Hills in broad daylight."
