Around 20 minutes late running 12260 New Delhi (NDLS)- Sealdah (SDAH) A.C. DURONTO Express headed by 30222 GZB shed WAP- 7 skips the busy Gaya Junction, and meets 28295 ANGUL shed WAG- 7 (in WAP- 4 shell) headed BOBYN rake.

(under ECR) falls on the Delhi- Kolkata Grand Chord line, and is situated 205 kms from Mughal Sarai, and 200 kms from Dhanbad. Gaya Junction also serves as a diverging points for two branch lines, one heading to Patna and the other to Kiul. Though a few Superfast trains (non- Duronto) skip this station, yet it is the halt of all the Rajdhanis running on this route. namely, 12301/ 12302 Howrah Rajdhani (via Gaya), 12313/ 12314 Sealdah Rajdhani, 22811/ 22812 Bhubaneshwar Tri-Weekly Rajdhani (via Adra), 22823/ 22824 Bhubaneshwar Rajdhani (via Tatanagar), and 12439/ 12440 Ranchi Bi-Weekly Rajdhani (via Gaya).
