Hi all Banaswadi station lovers,
There are some talks about the railway dept planning to remove the Banaswadi stop for the Kannur-Yeshwantpur, and Yeshwantpur-Kannur trains. To check if this is true I had called the Banaswadi station. They told me that currently these trains would continue to stop at Banaswadi, but soon it will be decided if this stop needs to be made permanent.
Question to travellers:
How...
more... many of you actually book your tickets to start from Banaswadi or upto Banaswadi? I don’t think there would be many people doing this, as most of us would generally book tickets to start from YPR or upto YPR even if we are boarding/getting down at Banaswadi, as there is not much difference in the total fare.
Points to think:
On what basis would the railway dept consider to remove the Banaswadi stop?
My guess is that they are going to monitor the number of passenger tickets booked upto Banaswadi or from Banaswadi. Although this number is not the reality, the ticket booking data available today could prove to be a major decision factor for retaining this stop. So just to be on the safer side, you may consider booking your tickets upto/from Banaswadi stop instead of YPR.
