A BNSF Officer Special train heads up the grade at Moody on the Oregon Trunk Subdivision. It would then travel south through Bend, Oregon. The river in the background is the Columbia River, separating the states of Oregon and Washington. Union Pacific owns tracks on the south (close) side, and BNSF owns tracks on the north side. The Oregon Trunk Subdivision starts on the Celilo Bridge, about 4.6 miles west of this photo location.
