Rajdhani, Shatabdi travel to cost more

more... Duronto trains can hope to have a more diverse
menu but at a higher cost.
The ticket will cost Rs 25 to Rs 27 more but passengers
will have the option of choosing from five different
menus. The charges will be different for different
classes in these air-conditioned trains. Passengers of
first AC in Rajdhani and EC in Shatabdi will pay the
same rates while those travelling in AC 2 and AC 3
will have to pay a little lesser.
For first AC and executive class travellers, railways
will offer more personalized services and meals will
be served in bone china crockery.
Though Duronto train fares have been brought on par
with those of Rajdhani and Shatabdi, those travelling
in second class sleeper will pay lower catering
charges.

For breakfast, the passengers will have the choice of
chana kulcha, stuffed paratha, besan-chilla, idli, vada,
upma with sambar and a variety of omelettes along
with an assorted fruit basket. Five varieties of soup
would be offered as starters.
For lunch and dinner, the passenger will have five
options of rice — peas rice, fried, continental, dhania
jeera and lemon. There will be five varieties of rotis
and vegetarian dishes as kadhai paneer, hakka
noodles, shahi paneer and paneer do pyaza. For non-
vegetarians, there will be chicken butter masala,
chicken manchurian, roasted chicken and murg
jalfarezi.
