Dear Sir,
I am not "intelligent" nevertheless I have showed any "sign of intelligence". If you notice very carefully the full description of mine regarding the loco "WAP-7" you can easily notice that it is fully equipped with factual data and figures.... no hypothetical conclusion has been made anywhere.
Secondly there is hardly any word "Leymanism" which can be found in English Literature. Rather it will be "Comments like a Layman" what you intended to mean about my description.
...
more... Now if I am a layman then it can't be possible for me to give such a brief account with all factual details. Secondly, I don't know how much experience you have gained , but I have a gamut of experience(20 to 23 years approx) about travelling in super fast mail/express trains in various rail zones which also includes premium trains like Rajdhani,Duronto and Shatabdi.
So what I had written about p 7 is the "Compact view of myself regarding performance of P7 in various rail zones in past 10 to 12 years"...
Now come to the point of speed restriction in HWH CSTM route as per your view that SER has speed restriction in this route to 110 km/hr
If I am not wrong the CSTM duronto(12261/12262) is hauled by HWH WAP4 of HWH Shed(FROM HWH to IGP(IGATPURI)) and after that by WCAM 3 OF KYN SHED(fFrom IGP to CSTM).
This train maintains an average speed of "75 km/hr" from HWH to TATA
From TATA to BSP it maintains an average speed of "72km/hr"
From BSP to NGP it maintains an average speed of "69-76 km/hr"
From NGP to BSL it maintains an average speed of "80 km/hr"
From BSL to IGP it maintains an average speed of "80km/hr"
Now From IGP to CSTM "WCAM 3" takes the charge replacing HWH WAP4 and the train maintains an average speed of "52 km/hr"
As a whole from HWH to CSTM(1964 km) this train it maintains an average speed of "75 km/hr"
Now I like to give a brief account of speed restriction of 12951/Mumbai Central-New Delhi Rajdhani Express(A Train hauled by WAP-5/WAP-7 Predominantly) which maintains an average speed of 87-90 km/hr for the entire journey(1384 km)
Mention must be made here that previously WAP-5/WAP-7 is attached with the aforesaid train from Surat not from Mumbai but now from BCT WAP-5/WAP-7 gets the charge of this train replacing WCAM-3.
What I have noticed that most of the rail fans show "AN ANTAGONISTIC APPROACH" towards my views, I don't know why they are doing so if I am not wrong "This a forum for expressing the personal views of the rail fans not to criticize anybody"
Look, Criticism is very easy to make and no special qualification/training is required to criticize/condemn anyone and the SITE ADMIN IS REQUESTED TO KEEP A VIGILANCE on these negetive views deliberately made in reply to my post, so that the "OBJECTIVE OF THIS FORUM CAN BE RESTORED". Every person has some views which should be respected and if you don't like it you may oppose it in a"GENTLE WAY"........
What I mean to say
Advancement is the part & parcel of every infrastructure to sustain in this dynamic world, if we follow the theory of Charles Darwin "Survival of the fittest". Railways is not any exception to this universal truth.
It is a fact is SER has a large number of WAP4(70 in SRC shed and 3 in TATA shed) and doesn't have any WAP7 due to its inability to "3 phase loco maintenance and insufficient crew training"........ so SER Officials have to think about the implementation of WAP-7 by repairing it's problems which create hindrance of getting WAP-7 IN THIS ZONE.
If you look at the evaluation of electric loco in IR it will be
WAM-4/PREVIOUS LOCOS------> WAP-4(YEAR 1997)-------->WAP-5----->WAP-7
so WAP-4 too has some limitations otherwise WAP-5/WAP-7 can't be produced.
Moreover,SER has to think that a time will come when all it's old fashioned locos(WAM-4/WAP-4 etc) will be in "Not Usable Condition" and then I am sure that demand for a Speedy Loco(With High Acceleration Capacity) will be very high and to fullfill this demand SER has to rely only on"WAP-7(Or any higher version of this type)". Because the production of WAP-4 is decreasing slowly and production of WAP-7 is increasing(Though at a very low pace)
