To the person who gave Red flag citing CBE made TT worse.
It has to be noted that CBE-MAS given a TT which matches Shatabdi, so there is no scope of covering the delay here.
I have attached the attachments for proof. The train is never delayed because of CBE , here TVC division itself hands over the train to PGT with an average delay of minimum 20 minutes. Then its the fault of TVC division not Salem division

OC relays are there for the exact same purpose, they'll shut the supply off and disconnect the faulty part of circuit.
However, that may not work if the charger itself is of poor quality, or the mobile has components of poor quality.

Modified Swiss Challenge
Access charges system, similar to the airports, on both sides of the platform — 1 and 10, are among the many changes the railways is planning to bring about to provide better facilities to passengers on par with stations in developed countries.
The financial and technical bids are to be finalised within six months of receiving the offers from the private sector to be chosen by modified version of Swiss Challenge Method where 60% is for quality and 40% for cost estimates. The chosen partner would get 45 years of lease period, according to SCR General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav.
Executive lounges
Other specific additional amenities being planned for the station are executive lounges on both ends, footover bridges connecting all floors with escalators and lifts, waiting area to be provided on the first floor with coach indication boards and train indication boards along with other facilities.
All the footover bridges will be connected to the platforms with circulating areas on either side and there will be ramps built connecting to the first floors on platform 1 and 10, plus multi-level parking will be built on both sides.
Surveillance arrangements are to be made for vehicles and baggage on either ends while a compound wall will be built all round the station with security at nominated entrances. All platforms will be covered for the entire length with installation of solar panels above. And, all railway offices on the ground floor would be taken to the second floor, leaving space for passengers.

Railway officials have an explanation for this. Since there are several railway station names beginning with the same alphabet, they obviously had to find a way around the problem. Kalyan, for example, starts with K, and so does Kurla, Khopoli, Kasara and Karjat, among others. In certain cases like that of Khopoli, they just added a P, making it KP for Khopoli. For Kurla, which prima facie appears to have no connection to the alphabet C, they went back to its original name. “Kurla was earlier called Coorlie, a name that was used by the British. Hence, we retained C as the code for Kurla,” said A K Singh, Public Relations Officer, Central Railway.
Apart from Kurla, even Vasai Road that is signified by “BS” on railway platform indicators also signifies the bygone British era when Vasai was called Bassein, thereby giving it the “BS” code that is used today.
More interesting, however, is the case of Kasara and Karjat stations, the codes for which are N and S respectively. While most in the know believe the reason behind it is that since Kasara goes northwards from Kalyan it acquired the code N and Karjat going southwards acquiring the initial S. However, this version too is not fully accurate.
Railway historian Rajendra Aklekar says while initially this may have been the reason behind the peculiar codes, over a period of time some changes took place. “There would be massive confusion in the control tower manning the locals entering CST. Since a lot of long-distance trains also come to the city, purely giving it codes based on which direction it came from was becoming problematic. Hence, to change this and ensure that the two words do not sound same phonetically, which south and north did to an extent, they came up with Narayan for N and Shankar for S. Today if you go to a control tower at CST, instead of referring to trains as Karjat and Kasara, they would term them as a Shankar slow or a Narayan fast,” he says.
While these names made life easier for railway officials, it turned out to be the bane of visitors to the city. They would reach CST, look at the indicators and go blank wondering what codes like C stood for. Till a few years ago, apart from the indicators that had these codes, the signage that the trains themselves had at its two ends was in codes as against the full station names. Later, to help those using the trains for the first time, it was decided that at least the trains would carry the full names of the railway stations en route. The platform indicators, however, owing to its limited slots, would have to continue carrying these codes instead of the entire station names.

AFAIK , Heranyanagaram was the old name for Cuddapah/Kadapa , it was a major crossing station apparently , thus it was referred as HX. This was what I got to know from veterans

CHENNAI: Southern Railway has announced that the Chennai Egmore-Tiruchirapalli-Chennai Egmore Cholan Express will get the high-quality German-technology make Linke Hoffman Busche coaches.
A release stated that Train No.16853/16854 will be converted to LHB rolling stock from February 16 from Chennai and February 17 from Tiruchirapalli. Already the Rockfort Express and Pandian Express on the section have LHB coaches. Thiruvananthapuram Mail and Mangalore Express are other trains with LHB coaches in the zone.

They are made of aluminium and lighter-in-weight and hence can be pulled faster by locomotives. Indian Railways is gradually phasing out ICF-make coaches with LHB coaches as per the 2012 Kakodkar Committee report.
However, it costs Rs 2 crore to make an LHB coach as compared to Rs 75 lakh for a conventional ICF make coach.

Southern Railway operates trains between Cities/Towns which are having Pit Line and Major Yard facilities.
Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation have so many Bus depot .Each taluk have one or two Bus depot.to operate buses in various routes with in state and inter state.
Tamilnadu state Cities/Towns need more and more Railway Pit Line from the Southern Railway to start and terminate trains .At-least every District should have a minimum one Major Yard/Pit Line .

First phase i suggest Railway Pit Line for Marthandam,Shenkottai,Rajapalayam,Sivakasi,Pollach i,Nagapattinam,Karaikkal,Pondicherry,Tiruppur,Hosu r,Katpadi ,Gummidipoondi and Tiruthani to Start and Terminate Trains.
So necessary Railway PIT LINE have to be provided in this Corporation/Towns. The Concerned City Corporation / Municipality should provide necessary Free Land along the Railway Track near the Station premises in consultation with the District Authority or purchase Land from their own funds and handover to the RAILWAY for the Pit Line.Morever respective MPs should contribute MP DEVELOPMENT FUND for the Pit Line Project.
Moreover I Personally suggest that 20 % part of the Land in (near by Railway Track) the unused Pond / KANMOI / Pool / Reservoir may be utilized for providing the Pit Line and the balance 80% of the Pond/Kanmoi/Pool/Reservoir should be deepened for 1 to 2 meter with protective Concrete bund and so as the existing water carrying capacity of these reservoir s should not be decreased and increased by 25%.
In Tamilnadu so many Ponds/Reservoirs have been converted previously for various project and Construction of New Bus Stand by the Cities/Towns.
Only One example* Salem City New Bus Stand *.
So i suggest Only 2 Pit Line site ,* for Kovilpatti in Thoothukkudi District and Sivakasi in Virudhunagar District*.
In both towns on the Railway Track near by Reservoir s 20 % of the Land have to be utilized for the Railway Pit Line Project and the balance 80 % of the reservoir should be deepened by 1 to 2 meter and increased the present water retaining capacity by 20%.
Concerned MPs should be contributed from his MP Local DEVELOPMENT FUND for the Railway Pit Line Project.
After Pit Line construction so many Passengers, Expresses and SF Trains may be Started and Terminated from these Towns to other Towns/Cities in Tamilnadu and Long Distance Trains to the other States.
The train Passenger fares are always one third of the bus fare and ensured the cheapest transport facilities for the poor people with in the states Cities/Towns.
