Sometimes it may get late at intermediate stations but reaches its final destination on time due to the slack provided.

Travelled from MAS to KPD on 21st October 2015.seat no ;71,72,73,75
Cleanliness and Comfort; The coach no C8 was a Jan 2013 made one and the cleanliness was top notch.The interiors were very clean and toilets were very clean and dry.There was no water problem and the cooling was very good.
Puntuality;The train departed 5 mins late from MAS and reached KPD on time.The maximum speed achieved was 118 km/hr.
food available in the train is awesome and cheap.The idly vada was rs25 and bread omlet was rs 20.Coffee was rs10 and Tea was rs 7.Vendors came at regular imtervals
Availablity;I booked my ticket on 28th september since i travelled on a holiday.Otherwise the ticket was all time available.The occupancy was 100 % in my coach on the day of journey
Railfanning;RF was excellent since the journey daytime and speed was very good.
Safety;The safety was very good because of LHB rake and daytime journey.RPF were also present

IR can cancel this double decker and LHBifie Brindavan,Lalbagh and sbc mas sbc intercity exp and add the Double Decker CCs to it.It will help in increasing the number of CC seats in these prestigious trains and add more to priority to it

There was a plan to change name of this train as Brindavan. They dropped it i guess. This DD is running well, there is no need of cancelling

From Chennai to Erode
Coach: S7
Reached Chennai Central(MAS) by 10 PM. The Rake was placed in PF#6 and went to my coach S7 and deposited my bags in my seat.It was heaven for railfans,the side lower berth and it was on the track side.Then departed MAS by 10:40 PM and met 22807/SRC MAS AC express at BBQ.Then,we stopped in its in
its first halt PER.Then,after PER,we started blasting.We skipped ABU,AVD and PAB blistering pace.The speed was very high that I fell from my seat.Then,we entered our second halt TRL.After that,we were speeding towards our next halt AJJ.We reached AJJ on time.The halting time at SHU,WJR was really a short one.Then,we reached KPD by 12:50 which was early by 3 minutes.Then we started our rampage run again.The halts at GYM,AB,VN were also very short one.No one boarded or deboarded the train.At VN,we got overtaken by Bengaluru Mail.This delayed our train by 10 minutes.Reached JTJ with a delay of 15 minutes.Then I slept for some time.Then i woke up at SA.We reached SA with a slight delay of 5 minutes.About 40% passengers in my coach deboarded at SA.Then,we proceeded towards SGE with a delay of 10 minutes.Then,we started to proceed to ED at a decent speed.We finally reached ED by 5:40 which was 10 minutes early.
Cleanliness-9/10.The cleanliness in this train was top notch.The exteriors were ok but interiors were excellent.The toilets were clean,dry throughout the journey.
Punctuality-10/10.The train has got very good priority throughout the route and reached all the stations on time or with only slight delay.
Comfort-4/10.There was lot of jerks and two times I fell from my seat.
Safety-10/10.Safety was excellent.Waitlisted passenger weren't allowed in the sleeper coaches and there was RPF all the time.

It is the best train to travel from Chennai to Erode in Sleeper Class.The train is very clean.The toilets are clean and dry throughout the journey.The train maintains very good speed and reaches its destination on or before time.

12253 & 12254 Anga express could be diverted via Chennai as there is no direct train from Chennai to Bhagalpur.It will also reduce the rush for Howrah in Howrah mail and Coromandel express from Chennai

Advantages of this train:
1) convenient departure of 20:00 at Ms and 19:25 at ten.
2) very punctual train.runs on or before time.
3) coaches are clean.
4) rain fanning is also good especially the
overtaking of ananthapuri express.
5) no wl/unreserved passengers entering the reserved ones.
Disadvantages of this train:
1) runs jam packed throughout the year.getting ticket is a headache.

One of the most prestigious train of our state. The earlier TT used to be the best for VPT people ( my home town). I used to proudly say to my friends that I am traveling in Nellai.

In what seemed to be a herculean task, Western Railway (WR) is all set to reduce the travel timing of its prestigious Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express and Ahmadabad-Mumbai Shatabdi Express by 30 minutes. The move has become possible after WR has been given a nod to run these trains at an increased speed.
According to the new plan, Rajdhani may now depart from Mumbai Central at 5:05 pm instead of the usual 4:35 pm. A senior official from WR said, “The idea behind delaying the departure of Rajdhani by 30 minutes is to allow office going class to easily board the train after work.”
train, after departing from Mumbai Central at 5:05 pm is expected to reach Borivali, which is the next halt, at 5:40 pm instead of the scheduled 5:07 pm. Similarly, Mumbai- Ahmadabad is expected to arrive in Mumbai at 9:05 pm which is 30 minutes ahead of its scheduled arrival of 9:35 pm. “We intend to get Shatabdi back at Mumbai by 9:05 pm against the scheduled time of 9:35 pm so that commuters can reach home much sooner after their travel. Yet it will leave right on its scheduled time” added the official.
The move to reduce the train travel time has become possible after the WR were given sanctioning from the Commissioner of Railway Safety to run these train at an increased speed. A team from Research Design Standard Operation (RDSO) visited Mumbai to conduct trial runs of the premium Rajdhani Express trains at a speed of 130 kmph between Mumbai and Vadodara instead of the present 120 kmph and at 110 kmph between Vadodara and Ratlam against the existing 100 kmph. Following the trials the papers were sent to the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) who has now given his nod. Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) Chetan Bakshi, confirming the sanctioning said, “Over three weeks ago, I have sanctioned the running of Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express, August Kranti Rajdhani and Double Decker Express at an increased speed for which the railways had applied.”
A senior official from WR on the condition of anonymity said, “We will soon conduct trials with these changed timings to check if the stoppages at the stations need to be reduced to ensure it.”
