Very awesome news and now we can expect SWR to introduce more trains from with in Karnataka to YPR and SBC...always they used to say no space etc. Now they have to.
Proposal is also sent for Sangamitra exp to be terminated at KJM or BYPL. Hope such actions will decongest YPR and SBC and their Pitlines..

16228 will be a unique train of IR by this month end.

1. 16228 gets a single Sleeper coach attached to it at Talaguppa and that coach gets detached at ASK and later it gets attached to 17302 after waiting for 145 minutes. And then this single coach proceeds to MYS along with 17302 and reaches MYS at 7 am.

Sir you are not aware I think but 16228 was never maintained at SBC. It used to go to MYS as pass.

No si it was only for the ac coaches. Now with this arrangement, entire rake will go to mysore.

With the conversion of 16527/16528 into LHB coaches, it will be interesting to see as to how SWR uses the erstwhile ICF coaches of this train.
Maybe they can look at exploring the option of running overnight special trains towards either Kerala/TN/AP side. Fridays is always a huge rush, so would be great if an overnight train can be considered towards CBE/ERS .
This is a far fetched imagination though !!!!! Hope SWR uses the ICF rake intelligently !

SBC does need them sir. The others need them. SBC and its people right now beg for intra state connectivity.

IU hublely disagree sir I want this service to be cancelled. As you are aware this rake and service is run by SWr and very few local populations use it. Also it simply stands idle for 24 hrs at vskp so that the return crowd is at convenience. At a time when swr is not serving its own KA state and says no rake, not many will be happy with SWR doing this type of sociial service.

Yes you are right. It will not suffice. Best is to ask your state government to create more jobs and opportunities in your state only so that you dont have to take the trouble of traveling to Bangalore under the dirty swr. You are talking as if its the duty of swr to accommodate all trains carrying outsiders to bangalore under prime slots. swr is already under fire from the home state for not doing anything for their own people and people want swr to accommodate others...
