Entry# 20781 Reply Add Bookmark Remove Post ![]() Provide a stop at Agra. There is no stop in Uttar Pradesh for this train. This train is running with loss as there is no stop at such a high revenue giving station. The railways are ungrateful to Agra, the 3rd Largest City in Uttar Pradesh and the tourist city of India.Taj Mahal is situated at Agra. That is a great monument and a stop must be given at least there. @first blogger: Do you have figures to ascertain that the train is loss making. Sampark Krantis are made to stop only at one station per state(in UP, it is Jhansi). It can have more stoppages in it's own state. If you have figures, then you may enter your request through Vox populi in the official site. Either it has to Jhansi or Agra, but cannot be both. Abhishek @anon: Feb 13 (10:39AM) Jhansi is not Uttar Pradesh. @anon: Feb 14 (12:10PM) bhai...jhansi is in bundelkhand region of uttar pradesh...its in UP...its a district headquarters @anon: Feb 13 (10:39AM) Goa Sampark Kranti has 3 stops in Maharashtra. @first blogger: u r correct. @anon: Feb 16 (10:06PM) I didnt find any rule/guideline as to how many stops a train needs to have in any state. @MST IndianRailways: Feb 16 (10:26PM) is there a rule that a sampark kranthi train should have only one stop in other state, other than home states? @anon: Feb 16 (11:45PM) 2649/2650 have 2 stops in Andhra Pradesh - Dharmavaram And Kacheguda, even though 2649/2650 is Karnataka Sampark Kranthi. @KRISHNA: Feb 16 (11:50PM) th were technical stops for running crew to change which were converted to comercial halts nothing to do with states why shed tears on trival matter sampark kranthi trains meant for the benifit of states not for up/agra people it is runn with limited stops till they reach Andhra Pradesh We agree Agra Is good tourist destination but AP sampark kranth?Karnataka Sampark Kranthi stops are waste of time halting at Agra. Just want to know if the ticket checker will object to this mistake during the journey. Is there any way i can correct this ? Please advise. @Thilak LS: SIR please produce your original ID proof & IRCTC reservation slip to nearest RSVN counter ...they will modify your booking...write them in an application thank u @sumit: Mar 11 (09:16AM) Sir, thanks for the reply. Will any PRS counter entertain this application or should i go to the main PRS counter. @Thilak LS: Mar 11 (09:33AM) u can go to any PRS counter @Thilak LS: No one can change your Gender in your booked E ticket. If other passenger has original id prof then TTE may neglect this mistake. PRS or IRCTC will not permitted any changes in booked E ticket. Regards HE2L @HD: Mar 11 (10:31AM) If I carry sufficient proof, will the TT allow travel without any problem ? Or will he treat it as ticketless travel and demand full fare with fine ? @Thilak LS: Mar 11 (11:01AM) How many passenger will travel on this ticket ? Regards HE2L @HD: Mar 11 (11:17AM) Only one, my wife. @Thilak LS: Mar 11 (11:21AM) Will you please explain your PNR no ?? Regards HE2L @HD: Mar 11 (11:24AM) PNR is 4527769067 @Thilak LS: Mar 11 (11:31AM) In such case TTE not harassed the lady who traveling alone. But safer side is meet the TTE 1st & explain your problem. If he agree then board the train. But don't forget your original ID prof while you traveling. Also request to TTE make changes on their chart about mistake. Generally in this type of case TTE allow to board the train but some case they will not allow. Wish you good Luck & explain your experience after journey. Regards HE2L @HD: Mar 11 (10:31AM) For your infiormation changes are allowed in printed E- Ticket. I have myself got it done, though the case was different (it was for change in boarding station). You need to submit a written application, photocopy of ticket and photocopy of ID proof to PRS. @HD: Mar 11 (11:39AM) Just got a feedback from IRCTC that i can meet the Assistant Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial manager and request them to change the gender. If they feel its genuine, they will change. Since i'm in Bangalore, I'm not sure where i can meet these managers. @Thilak LS: Mar 11 (11:55AM) Sir, I am still finding the blog who posted before 8-10 months ago. But i didn't find it. You didn't get reply in positive side. No one can help you in your E ticket. @ Manish Boarding change & change of name is allow on E ticket. But here blogger need the change Gender only. Regards HE2L @Thilak LS: Mar 11 (11:01AM) just cancel it and take another one if its still available. it will be like 50 rs extra. still worth it. why take the pain of writing letters and going places and living in anxiety @anon: Mar 11 (02:08PM) It will be the best option if seats are available. @Jitesh: Mar 11 (02:11PM) @ first blogger : Having gone through all earlier replies, with respect to all the views, I may submit that this is not a bigger issue. By all counts, it is possible at the Rly PRS office. There is also not much problem in case the name is female suggestive. With proper id proofs, there will not be any trouble. Only thing such matters are to be handled with ease & comfort and with a kind request to the PRS officer / TTE. Humanity and co-operative factor still prevail amongst TTE's. No question of harrassment at all. @Thilak LS: Mar 11 (11:55AM) you can find them at the divisional office adjacent the city railways station. go with a written application and submit it they can modify your ticket. @Pradeep Kumar: Mar 11 (04:45PM) Thanks a lot. Since tickets are not available so that i can cancel them. As I do not want to take a chance with TTEs, I shall approach the PRS office next to city railway station and request modification. Shall keep you all posted. @Thilak LS: Mar 12 (10:18AM) Wish you all the best. Go ahead Sir. Please inform us about your experience. Regards HE2L @HD: Mar 12 (10:21AM) I went to the PRS counter at Bangalore city station for having the gender changed, they directed me to the Dy. station manager who has the authority to make the changes. With all proofs (ID card, e-ticket and letter) I meet the Dy. station manager, he gave a long lecture (with some insulting sentences too) as to why i was careless, and refused to change it unless the person who's traveling is presented before him for verification. After an hour later, I and my wife who's traveling met him again, and with a lot of coaxing, he finally agreed (again with an insulting lecture to my wife also) for the change. With his signature, I was asked to go to the ACM of the PRS so that they can make the changes. Finally, the ACM (assistant Commercial mgr.) made the changes. Though the fault was with me, i felt that the insults from the Dy. station manager was too much for me me to handle. I feel he had no right to insult me, he could have straightly refused and i would have walked away silently. Mar 16 (02:15PM) Pune Nizamuddin Duronto/2263back to top 3. Entry# 24382 Locked Add Bookmark Remove Post ![]() i have reservation on 9th April from pune to nizamudin. Can i catch the train at vasai instead of pune. If yes at what time does it reach vasai. @first blogger: This is a non-stop train and so you cannot rely on its actual arrival departure. If it comes before time or so it has every reason to leave before time if it has techincal halt at vasai @first blogger: The simple answer, technical halt, no technical halt is NO. Even if it is technical Halt, you WILL NOT BE ABLLOWED TO BOARD THE TRAIN. THAT THE DURANTO RULE. i am not joking Sir. All BLOGGERS PLEASE NOTE THIS POINT. THIS HAS BEEN TRIED, AND PEOPLE HAVE BEEN OFFLOADED AT THE NEXT STOP SIGNAL IN AUTOMATIC TERRITORY !!! BE WARNED. @Murli: Mar 16 (04:46PM) I am searching for the Duranto rule, where is it specified that no boarding at technical stop? @Murli: Mar 16 (04:46PM) thanks for precious info but what is automatic territory ,adn offloaded ,plz explain @MST IndianRailways: Mar 16 (06:26PM) I will revert with the relevant rules. Please bear with me. By the very nature of Technical Halt means no passengers can board. Please note that the technical halt timings are NOT published, and tickets are issued only end to end, not from intermediate stations, because they are NOT there simply ! Even if you purchase an end to end ticket, you cannot change the boarding station. Please try for yourself on IRCTC or any site which allows booking of tickets and try to book a Duranto. Technical halts are meant only for change of running Power (Engine + Guard) crew. Even the TTs do not change. They go from end to end. The technical halts are apart from the above, for watering, cleaning if necessary of toilets, refills of soaps, etc., and general maintenance. There is no definite timing for the technical halt. If the train arrives before time, the driving crew is notified in advance when it crosses the last controlling station, by means of wireless/mobile, and the receiving station too gets the notice and keeps the staff ready for servicing the train, again by wireless/mobile phones. Good wishes. @anon: Mar 16 (07:24PM) This relates to train signalling and passing through signals. Between certain stretches (blocks/sections) some of the signals are wired to the signal ahead of it. When the train crosses the first signal marked A, it turns red, till the train passes the next signal on the block/section. After the train crosses the second signal, the first signal A turns yellow or green depending upon the length of the section/block. This is automatically done by wires under the rails. Thus the following train gets a green when it approaches the A signal and goes ahead... this is known as automatic working. When a train is occupying that block, the signal aspect at the rear is yellow or red; If it is red, the following train comes to a dead halt before the signal. At yellow/amber as it is known, it stops, and then moves at a slow pace. I hope this satisfies your question about signalling. Regarding deboarding, this happened on the HWH-NDLS Duranto when the RPF detrained people. I do not have a record of where I read that. But at stations where the Duranto halts for technical purposes, the RPF is on duty watching to see whether anyone tries to board the train. Additionally, the TTEs are also on the watch to see no one tries to enter the train from the technical halt. Also note that while the train drivers and guard are changed, the TTEs of Durantos travel end to end. I hope this helps. Good wishes. @Murli: Mar 16 (08:45PM) Murli i doubt for Enakulam Nizamuddin the same TTE will be continuing up to Nizamuddin? No change? I think it takes 44 hours so full 44 hours duty for TTE? @anon: Mar 16 (08:55PM) finally some meaningful discussion instead of someone trying to highlight making latur osmanabad the epicanter of the Indian railway system @anon: Mar 16 (08:55PM) tte does not change even in sampark kranti express trains. i have been a witness to that - the same gentlemen continues. I have seen in AK Rajdhani express also. @anon: Mar 16 (09:10PM) no way TTE always work under their respective zones. No TTE is allowed for the duty in full train journey. for AP Sampark Kranti I have personally witness for the duty change at of TTE at Bhopal Railway station. The TTE coming from NZM or may be from JHS get down at BPl handed over the chart to new TTE at platfrom. I was just standing besides the new TTE at platform. His duty will be upto NGP. @Jitesh: Mar 16 (09:16PM) earlier when sampark kranti were not having commercial stops outside its states the TTE used to run from source to destination and return. even in A.P. sampark kranti TTE from Tirupati used to go to NZM and return after4-5 days. the train used to have only one TTE.Also was Karnataka sampark kranti. the TTE's used to get extra allonce for continued journey. Now with the introduction of commercial stops at previous technical halts tte's change. For A.P. Sampark kranti TTE's run from NZM-JHS-BPL-NGP-BPQ-SC-TPTY. @Murli: Mar 16 (07:31PM) One of the concerns that you have been expressing is that the train will leave before time from Technical halt. So to mitigate this risk, lets say I go to Vasai Road station at 11 AM itself and wait for this train. Another concern is that berths of passengers not turned up will be released to RAC passengers. Now I also make sure that there are plenty of berths vacant at the time of departure of the train from Pune. So now both these concerns addressed, can I get into the train at Vasai Road and sit on my berth? @first blogger y tak risk..take a train and go to pune......(catch a train at vasai road..viz 1049/0925/9312/0230(all run with same schedule on different days...so plan ur train)..u'll reach pune at 8am..wait 4 3 hours and catch duronto....note:this is very time consuming...wasting 7 hours...so instead catch trivandrum rajdhani @anon: Mar 16 (10:20PM) Tell me what is the risk with catching Duranto from Vasai Road, when berths are vacant, with a valid reserved ticket (of course PUNE to NZM). @Murli: Mar 16 (08:45PM) You have written "at stations where the Duranto halts for technical purposes, the RPF is on duty watching to see whether anyone tries to board the train. Additionally, the TTEs are also on the watch to see no one tries to enter the train from the technical halt.". But when someone has authorized ticket, how can RPF or TTE stop the passenger from boarding or not allowing to travel? Whatever case has been explained, may be some unauthorized passengers were involved. @MST IndianRailways: Mar 16 (10:13PM) You will still NOT be allowed to board, even if you have a ticket from end to end. At the time train departs, you will be marked absent sir !!! Anyway I have taken up this matter at a different level and am waiting for the circular in this regard. I will apprise the forum at the appropriate time when I receive the authentic info. If what you propose is correct, and it is IF rpt IF then all Technical Halts have NO meaning at all. They become Commercial Halts, and there goes the concept of Duronto ! Right ? Good wishes. @MST IndianRailways: Mar 16 (10:41PM) Sir, How can we get Authorized ticket for Duronto from intermediate station ?? Regards HE2L @Jitesh: Mar 16 (09:16PM) This is the standard rule Jiteshji! But for Durontos it is different. But the point made about ERS-NZM is interesting. AS far as I know they will do the duty continuously: since there are no intermediate passengers getting in or out, they get their rest on the train. Their duties include cleanliness, supporting passengers in getting their requirements, under the watchful eyes of the Train Superintendent. Remember also that Duronto being the RM's favorite, the eyes of the RB are always on it. Good wishes. PS: Please also see my reply to Mr MST Indian Railways... @HD: Mar 16 (10:46PM) There are NO intermediate COMMERCIAL HALTS, Mr HD !!! Even the Tech Halts are NOT published. So the question does not arise at all. This has been debated in full in other Railway forums extensively. And I stand by what I have written since these are the operational rules. To get them I have to pull some strings... and I don't know whether I can post them at all !!!! @Murli: Mar 16 (10:46PM) What does it mean NOT allowed to? The train has 26 doors opened to the platform at Vasai Road. I can sneak into the train from any door and I dont think anyone can suspect, because along with me a 100 other passengers, who get down to free their legs, will also be boarding the train again, when it is ready to depart. Once in the train, I already have an authorized ticket. The TTE would have marked me as "Not Traceable", but I can always say that I had been to toilet or some other coach when he was checking for tickets. If required, he can cancel the "NT" remark against my name. But he cannot ask me to get down, because I am not unauthorized and my berth has not been released (I know the train left with many berths vacant in my class). @HD: Mar 16 (10:46PM) Simple answer to question : "How can we get Authorized ticket for Duronto from intermediate station ?? " Book a ticket from PUNE to NZM, boarding PUNE. This is an authorized ticket. @MST IndianRailways: Mar 16 (11:10PM) Sir, "I am taking ticket from PUNE & board the Duronto at Vasai." THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE SIR. Regards HE2L @HD: Mar 16 (11:13PM) Its ok.. let it not be possible. I dont want to have any remark of Vasai Road on my ticket. I am clear what I want - board the train at Vasai, with travel fare and boarding station as Pune. @MST IndianRailways: Mar 16 (11:09PM) Well the TC could have maked u as absent and perhaps allotted your seat to someone else. In that case you would have to pay up a fine. You can try all sneaky ways you want. like you said it might be easy to sneak into the train, but if the train is full or if other passengers raise an alarm.... let us know what happens. Remember this duronto is more oftn than always running to full capacity. @anon: Mar 16 (11:17PM) When I said the train was empty, how can the TTE allot the berth to anyone else? I have personally travelled in Pune Duranto twice and both occassions it had 100 berths vacant in Economy class. Summer holidays may be a different scenario, but I am talking of lean period. @first blogger: why don't you check with the station Master at Vasai before hand and get the accurate info. Please blog the reply as well. Try to get something in writing as well for your own sake so that you can show it to the TC if there be a problem with you boarding the train from Vasai @anon: Mar 16 (11:19PM) Well, I dont have any problem boarding the train from Vasai, other bloggers have. Why should I go to the Station Master? @MST IndianRailways: Mar 16 (11:21PM) You were never asked to approach the Station Master. The first blogger was! @anon: Mar 16 (11:22PM) Oh ya... I am actually just trying to make a constructive discussion here, of course ensuring that all my solutions and approaches are legal and ethical. @MST IndianRailways: Mar 16 (11:29PM) This approach of snekig into the train doesnt exactly sound ethical! @anon: Mar 17 (01:04AM) If I have an authorized ticket of travel, its ethical. This entry now deserves to be locked. Hence Locked. Good Wishes to all. Mar 14 (04:31PM) Andhra Pradesh Express/2724back to top 4. But ticket provider deny me by saying that i have to take ticket for new delhi to bhopal.. please tell me clear about this rule. is there any rule of minimum Kilo metre in some trains? @first blogger: Yes AP EXP has some distance restrictions, to travel in that train you must purchase ticket for at least 500 KM, so the first stop after 500 KM is BHOPAL that is why the clerk asked you to purchase ticket up to BHOPAL. If found travelling with out proper ticket you will be fined. @Jitesh: Mar 14 (05:20PM). @ first blogger : In case of minimum distance of 500 kms., the actual fare charges will be as per the fare table slab of 491-500 kms. The min distance criteria operates for minimum fare charges purpose based on kms and not based on second or another subsequent intermediate station. Plz correct for any error. There is also a provision that Min distance criteria will not be applicable for the sleeper coaches declared as unreserved coaches by Zonal railways in notified trains and in specified sections. In such case actual fare as shown in the concerned column slab. ... The blogger is requested to post full fact details - to discard any misunderstanding that might have occured at the counter. @Kapadia : Mar 14 (06:40PM) But after 500 KM the trains stops at Bhopal, so the passenger must have to purchase ticket up to Bhopal if want to start journey from New Delhi. How will system issue a ticket only for 500 KM without the station name? @Jitesh: Mar 14 (06:42PM) Sirjee, There is no complication in issue of tickets. The train fares and issue of tickets - both are different things in the context of minimum distance factor. egs. For New Delhi to Mathura - (141 kms) For New Delhi to Agra Cantt - ( 195 kms) For New Delhi to Gwalior - ( 313 kms) For New Delhi to Jhansi - ( 410 kms) The ticket for all above intermediate stations is possible with less than 500 kms. with the condition that they are issued at a train fare - kms slab - applicable to 491-500 kms (plz Refer train fare slab table). So in simple words the train fare for all the above intermediate stops (under 500 kms distance ciriteria) - i.e. upto Mathura, Agra, Gwalior and Jhansi would be same irrespective of actual kms distance (based on train fare slab of 491-500 kms). ii) For New Delhi to Bhopal - ( 701 kms) , the ticket would be based on acutal kms slab of 701-710 kms. Plz correct for any error. @Kapadia : Mar 14 (07:47PM) Got you point Thanks for clearing the point. according to this for getting down to Mathura Jn the person must purchase ticket up to Bhopal. This is the case like Duronto where person have to pay end to end fare for getting down at technical stop. But the person can not board from these technical stops. Same case is there, by purchasing ordinary ticket between say JHS & BPL the passenger can not board this particular train, if found travelling he will be dealt as per extent railway rules. I have seen personally that at BPL station when such type of trains arrive(like this one) some RPF person check tickets for general boogie travelers and if they find any of the case mentioned above they deal them very badly. Still I invite Mr Murli to tell us some thing on the issue. @Jitesh: Mar 14 (07:55PM) Acknowledging your reply with ..... Two more points that is worthy of noting is that - As mentioned in my earlier reply and I repeat .... i) ...." There is also a provision that Min distance criteria will not be applicable for the sleeper coaches declared as unreserved coaches by Zonal railways in notified trains and in specified sections. In such case actual fare as shown in the concerned column slab. ... " (As the original blogger wanted unreserved / General coach ticket) ii) For all other Mail / Express trains, the minimum distance criteria is 200 kms for sleeper class. And for no classes - it is 500 kms. Jiteshji , is there 500 kms minimum distance criteria for AP Express/ 2724 ? @first blogger: @all bloggers: Regarding distance restrictions, please refer to page 271 of Southern Railway Time Table (It must be the same in other Time Tables as well) quoting only for AP Express since that is the subject under discussion: Train No 2723/2724 Hyderbad-New Delhi/AP Express will not carry passengers Holding 1 Class/AC Sleeper/AC 3 Tier Sleeper Class tickets booked for stations for distances/stations or less: Holding tickets for less than 600 kms Holding II class tickets booked for Distances/Stations or less: Holding tickets for less than 600 kms. But will carry in II class unreserved between: HYDERABAD/SECUNDERABAD TO KAGHAZNAGAR/BALAHARSHAH AND NAGPUR ONLY. So you will see on the outbound journey from Hyderabad Passengers in UR will be carried beyond only after 600 kms. Please work backwards to get the distance restriction from NDLS/NZM please. Good wishes. @Kapadia : Mar 14 (07:47PM) Mr Kapadia, There is a COMPLICATION in issue of tickets in this case. To travel in AP express you need to buy a SF ticket, and if you ask for SF ticket, they will ask you for train. So when you specify the train, the PRS system will not allow issue of SF tickets on trains with distance restrictions. The PRS clerk has no discretion in the matter. It is another matter that the person can buy an ordinary ticket and pay the TT (hopefully without fine !) and get into the AP express. Please note the significant difference in the statement above. It is not in the hands of the Booking window if you specify SF ticket, and he does not have the discretion. The minimum booking distance is already fed into the system so that the booking clerk cannot tamper with it Sir. Good wishes. @first blogger: Book a ticket in SL class from New Delhi to Agra. You will get a confirmed berth for any date, Get down at Mathura. If you have the comfort of SL class available, why travel in General coach, which would already be packed with twice its carrying capacity. @MST IndianRailways: Mar 14 (10:34PM) Not allowed Sir ! Please see the rule i have quoted above..... in this blog.. Good wishes. @MST IndianRailways: Mar 14 (10:34PM) I mean NOT allowed on AP Express. The passenger can take any other train, BUT NOT TRAINS with Distance Restrictions as mentioned above. Good wishes. @Murli: Mar 14 (09:08PM) Thanks for the info. However at Borivali - PRS counter clerk not asking for SF train name while issuing SF tickets. Few superfast trains are available in the morning towards Surat side and SF ticket is valid in any SF train, in case you miss any particular one you desired. The window clerk does not ask the name of SF train at Borivali. It appears from your reply, that General minimum distance criterias are not applicable in case of AP Express/2723 and also rule exempting minimum distance criteria in General Unreserved coaches. Strange exceptions. @Murli: Mar 15 (08:29AM) Murli Sir I wish to differ from you, I just checked the availability status between NDLS to AGC in AP EXP and it is available and it gives me permission to book the tickets. Plz Check. @first blogger: Yes thera are rules in some trains , if you are travelling with gen ticket in dist bound train ,you may have to pay 280/- fine if caught by tte. Few trains which i know are 1.Brahmaputra Exp 480km bound 2.Dehradun Chennai Exp 500 Km 3. Poorva Exp 480 Km 4.Gomati Exp 200km 5. North East Exp 480 km 6.Pushpak Exp 500km...and many more @Jitesh: Mar 14 (05:20PM) Thank you for your valuable information.. sir i will be greateful to you. if you will tell some other tain having distance bouding like AP express... it will help all those travells for short distance and can save from fine.. @anon: Mar 15 (05:02PM) actually I have a list of some trains in which distance restrictions are applicable but not able to locate it, I am trying to find out, any one wants that can mail me directly at jitesh6781@gmail.com @Jitesh: Mar 15 (06:36PM) k....can anyone say if we dont buy a proper reserved ticket(may it be waitling list, rac or tatkal anything) and want to go beyond 500 kms....can u give the soln...what can be done in this case? To all the blogger who have contributed in this thread: Thanks for valued suggestions / inputs. 1. When distance restriction is there in a train, one has to buy a ticket in that train at least up to the halt of that train which comes soon after that distance is crossed. You are not allowed to buy a ticket for a halt for less than the Minimum Distance by buying a ticket for the exact minimum distance provided. 2. Even when distance restriction is there in a train, reserved tickets, short of minimum distance, are often issued by railways (in its own interest) to generate revenue from the seats which are meant from subsequent halts falling at a distance less than the minimum distance. 3. However, only confirmed ticket holders will be allowed to travel in such (my point no. 2) cases and a wait listed ticket holder will be penalised with Rs. 250 plus the fare difference between what he / she would actual have paid and what the fare is till the earliest halt after the minimum distance restriction ends. 4. If one buys a ticket with Superfast charges, it does not entitle him /her to use that ticket in a Superfast train which has a distance restriction (and his / her ticket is short of that restriction). If caught, penalty will have to be paid. Thanks again! @S K Jain: Mar 15 (07:45PM) @ others : Such info in full details is desired and ought to be available prominently on the official Railway website. Unfortunately it is not so. The complications still prevail in the absence of authentic source of info. @S K Jain: Mar 15 (07:45PM) Thanks Jain Sir your information confirms my point that due to distance restrictions first stop is Bhopal for which ticket will be issue from New Delhi. Thanks for enhancing our knowledge. I got the list of some trains with distance restrictions. Any one want that can mail me @ jitesh6781@gmail.com @Jitesh: Mar 15 (08:07PM) Yes, Jitesh ji! It has to be Bhopal (the first stop after distance restrcition is taken care of) only and not the point where 500 Kms. are just completing. Thanks! @Kapadia : Mar 15 (07:55PM) There is a lot of confusions (because of inadequate or contradictory or old information retained) and complications (because of unclear wordings) so far it is Railways. Even practices are different. Not to divert the issue, I witnessed a lower class Jaipur - Mumbai ticket holder in 2956 Jaipur - Mumbai Superfast Express, to be penalised and charged only up to Kota (and not upto Mumbai). The argument of the TTE was that he had been posted in Jaipur Division of Railways and hence can not issued Penal Ticket beyond Kota. The rist to ticket holder was there that after Kota, a new TTE would come and charge her. Thanks! @Murli: Mar 15 (08:28AM) Dear Mr Murli, I can book a ticket upto Agra in this train. Pls try doing it yourself. @first blogger: some train have restriction on second class unreserved ticket holders and season ticket holders. In 2724 A.P.Express its 600kms between NDLS-JHS in 2nd class and does not have any exception. @first blogger: This train having restriction of 500 KMs. @TWIN: Mar 16 (12:45PM) I deleted your posting @ Today (12:46PM) You are giving wrong information to bloggers by asking them to pay bribe to TTE. @first blogger: Dear All, as per the rules of Indian Railways, even if there is a distance/section restrictions on some trains, the passengers can book short journey tickets if berths are available and travel. Even unreserved tickets can be booked on the platform / inside the train against vacancies. Good wishes. @Murli: Mar 16 (11:07AM) its CK no RAC. Thanks :) @bLiNg: 50-50 CHANCES BECAUSE IT IS REMOTE WAITING LIST CAN'T SAY ANYTHING BEFORE 18TH OR 19TH OR I WOULD SUGGEST THAT GO FOR TATKAL ON 18TH @bLiNg: I think you are correct. But why in Tatkal as well it is showing as in waiting... Even though Tatkal has not opened yet for this date. Very confusing. @bLiNg: yes you are correct even several times i have seen tatkal are in wl# befoore 2 or 3 days before @bLiNg: Mar 12 (12:58PM) Its not wait list. The status is REGRET/WL1 which means the tatkal quota is not available between these two stations. If you want to book tatkal in this train then you have to book form Mathura Jn with boarding point as Agra Cantt. Need further clarification on the matter you can directly chat with me by link available. @bLiNg: Mar 12 (12:57PM) go on 18th morning around 8to 8.30 am you will easily get a conf ticket. i think there must me a mistke. @NITIN RAWAT: Mar 12 (01:05PM) Its not mistake, the status seen by blogger is correct and why it is so has been replied by me in my earlier post. You are asking the blogger to go to railway stn at 08:30 to book tatkal tickets in this train, for your information 08:15 will be Game Over, means at that time you will get wait listed. @Jitesh: Mar 12 (01:08PM) I agree with Jitesh.. The game is over at 8:10 max. If I book the Tatkal ticket from Mathura and have Mathura as the boarding station. Can i travel from Agra. Won't that be a problem? @Jitesh: Mar 12 (01:08PM) If we change the boarding point at the time of booking, the booking status also changes. I tried doing that once, but didn't worked out well for me. @bLiNg: Mar 12 (01:12PM) The distance between Mathura & Agra is not too much, its only 54 Km but there will be risk involved in doing so because in this train High wait list is being observed and on checking if TTE dose not found you on your respective seats then he will be having authority to allot berths to wait listed passengers & if so then you can not do any thing if you board from Agra, so my advice to you to get change the boarding point after booking. If you try to book with irctc then do not change the boarding point while booking other wise your ticket will not be booked. Book first and get change the boarding point from nearby prs. Even at the station the boarding change will not be possible at the time of booking, and you have to again be in que for boarding change with Chief Reservation Supervisor. Need any help in booking matters, you can contact me @ jitesh6781@gmail.com or call +919907750231 @Jitesh: Mar 12 (01:18PM) Thanks a lot for the big help Jitesh. I really appreciate it. I will book the ticket from Mathura and get the boarding station changed afterwards. @bLiNg: Mar 12 (01:46PM) book the ticket from mathura and board at agra you cannot change your boarding but your seat will be there, my friend faced the same problem and the people at PSR AGRA CANTT. suggested this to thim. he travelled without any problem @Pradeep Kumar: Mar 12 (01:57PM) Dear Pradeep you are right at your point but as I replied in my earlier blog there is some risk involved in doing so, the passenger will not be sure 100 % about berths at Agra Cantt. So It has been advised to blogger to get change the boarding point. Rest it is his own wish that he want to take risk or not. @Jitesh: Mar 12 (02:00PM) there is no other option avilable jitesh ji. they do not change the boarding point it has been tried and tested. the PSR staff at agra cantt. suggested the same for my friend and after booking when he wanted to change the boarding it was not done but his berth was intact when the train arrived to agra cantt. @Pradeep Kumar: Mar 12 (02:23PM) Dear Pradeep What can I do if any one gave you wrong info and you are forwarding here to the other bloggers. Its passenger's right to get change the boarding point and no one at the PRS can deny it(I know they make every time some excuses) but it is possible to get change the boarding point. @Jitesh: Mar 12 (02:34PM) sorry sir you are wrong here. no were it the rules for changing boarding it is written that it is the right of the passanger to change the boarding. it can be done only if the reservation quota of the original station and the new station are same. i am not passing wrong information since this is not a new thing. i have been changing boarding for various trains for the past 8 yrs atleast. you please correct yourself @Pradeep Kumar: Mar 12 (02:48PM) Again Wrong where it is written that boarding point will be change only if the both the stations share the same quota, can you provide me the link. You give me any PNR no & desired boarding point, I can get change the boarding point. and also if both the stn share the same quota then what is the meaning of boarding change. Rules of boarding change are as follows It can be changed once(either at the time of booking or after) Should be get changed before 24 Hrs of Scheduled Dep of the train from originating stn After boarding change the passenger loses his/her right to board from booking stn and if found traveling without proper authority then will be treated as per extent railway rules. @Pradeep Kumar: Mar 12 (02:48PM) for your information check this pnr 834-1200552 Booked from BIH & Boarding Point BPL Both the stations having different quota @Jitesh: Mar 12 (02:52PM) the same thing i am asking provide me the link where it is written that it is the right of the passanger to change the boarding station. you try changing boarding of train 213 for tickets booked between MYS-KGI to SBC it is not possible @Jitesh: Mar 12 (02:54PM) it depends on train and section also @Pradeep Kumar: Mar 12 (02:48PM) check one more pnr 814-0623579 Booked From BCH & Boarding Point BPL Both the stations having different quota These two PNR Booked by me & I get changed the boarding point Here is the proof, any thing else you want. I had more with me but all of these are flushed now, I mean they are old PNR(not useful) @Pradeep Kumar: Mar 12 (02:59PM) Yes I have the link about the rules regarding boarding point change, and for train 213 I can change the boarding point also, give me any PNR booked for the above mentioned example and required boarding point & I need just 24 Hrs to do so. @Jitesh: Mar 12 (02:59PM) i will defenetely post you pnr in a short time as i am planning to travell in 213sw. you can change my boarding station for me. please wait until then. @Pradeep Kumar: Mar 12 (03:03PM) ya sure can contact me any time +919907750231 @Pradeep Kumar: Mar 12 (03:03PM) one more PNR for your observation 643-6424506 Booked from KP & Boarding Point NGP.
