Not on Duty..but in Uniform I had a similar experience in Kerala Express where a local police with duty pass to travel in General from NGP entered 3AC and occupied berth allotted for TT. There was a quarrel between TT and the Police personnel and finally he was allowed to travel. Hauled by WDM3A TKD Also AC Vents with Open/Close Handle. All 2AC coaches have reading lights fitted for individual berths. Old coaches have a small bulb fitted in a case and the movable front part of this case is pulled up for light to glow whereas new coaches have led bulb with an on/off switch I don't thnk it passed thru BE..thr is supposed to be a bypass line. One of the berth is confirmed , other is WL 1. Can i travel with such a PNR if status does not change after Chart Preparation. I Think the Answer Yes. But what do i say to the TTE..Is he liable to charge extra..?? Recently I faced same problem, My parents were traveling from Nagpur to Bangalore by LKO-YPR SF, 1 Pax was confirmed and another remained in WL after chart preparation. As it was 2A, For some distance they traveled as RAC passenger and then TTE allotted a berth without any extra charge, The reserved ticket which they had was on purchase of all the charges ... Great otherwise nowadays its difficult to even get tickets one month before.
