तीन दिन चलती है हमसफर 1’12595 हमसफर गोरखपुर से मंगलवार और गुरुवार को रात आठ बजे रवाना होती है। गोंडा-लखनऊ-कानपुर के रास्ते दूसरे दिन सुबह 8.50 बजे आनंदविहार पहुंचने का समय नियत है। 1’12596 हमसफर आनंदविहार से बुधवार और शुक्रवार को रात आठ बजे रवाना होती है और दूसरे दिन सुबह 7.50 बजे गोरखपुर पहुंचने का समय नियत है। 1’12571 हमसफर गोरखपुर से रविवार को शाम 7 बजे रवाना होती है। बढ़नी-गोंडा-लखनऊ और कानपुर के रास्ते दूसरे दिन सुबह 8.50 बजे आनंदविहार पहुंचने का समय नियत है। 1’12572 हमसफर सोमवार को आनंदविहार से रात 8 बजे से रवाना होती है। बढ़नी के रास्ते दूसरे दिन सुबह 9.15 बजे गोरखपुर पहुंचने का समय नियत है।

नारायण द्विवेदी ’ गोरखपुर 1यह तो सिर्फ दो दिनों का आंकड़ा है। हकीकत में गोरखपुर से आनंदविहार के बीच चल रही हमसफर लगातार तीन से चार घंटे की देरी से चल रही है। सुबह ही जगह दोपहर में पहुंच रही है जिससे यात्रियों की पूरी प्लानिंग ही चौपट हो रही है। बढ़नी रूट पर चलने वाली ट्रेन की स्थिति तो और खराब है। खानपान और गंदगी को लेकर शिकायतें भी बढ़ गई हैं। 16 दिसंबर 2016 को देश की पहली हमसफर ट्रेन का संचलन शुरू हुआ। लोगों को उम्मीद थी कि मंजिल तक पहुंचाने में हमसफर उनका पूरा साथ देगी लेकिन यह तो बीच सफर में ही हांफने लगी। ट्रेन चलने के साथ ही लेट होने लगी। जनवरी और फरवरी में ठंड व कोहरे के कारण रफ्तार धीमी पड़ने की बात तो समझ में आ रही थी, लेकिन मई की इस भीषण गर्मी में समय की पटरी से नीचे उतर जाना संचलन की लापरवाही ही कहेंगे। पांच माह में ही यह ट्रेन खास से आम बन गई है। खानपान और अन्य सुविधाओं के नाम पर भी यात्री ठगे जा रहे हैं। 11 मई को गोरखपुर से दिल्ली जा रहे रीतेश मिश्र ने बताया कि कानपुर पहुंचते ही ट्रेन का पानी समाप्त हो गया। टॉयलेट में भी गंदगी थी। वेंडर ने 100 रुपये के खाना में पनीर की जगह आलू की सब्जी परोस दी। 30 का नाश्ता 50 रुपये में बेच रहे थे। इस तरह की शिकायतें आम हो गई हैं। इन शिकायत पर भी कोई सुनवाई भी नहीं है। इस महत्वाकांक्षी ट्रेन में अति आधुनिक वातानुकूलित तृतीय श्रेणी की बोगियां ही लगाई जाती हैं। अतिरिक्त सुविधा के नाम पर यात्रियों को सामान्य से अधिक किराया देना पड़ता है। 1लगाए जाएंगे अतिरिक्त कोच: सीपीआरओ संजय यादव के अनुसार ट्रेनों के समय पालन को लेकर निगरानी बढ़ा दी गई है। पूवरेत्तर रेलवे की ट्रेनों का 80 फीसद समय पालन हो गया है। लगातार सुधार के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं। यात्रियों को राहत पहुंचाने के लिए तीन जोड़ी हमसफर एक्सप्रेस में तृतीय श्रेणी के दो-दो अतिरिक्त कोच लगाए जाएंगे।1 ’12595 हमसफर में गोरखपुर से 18 मई से 17 अगस्त तक तथा 12596 में आनंदविहार से 19 से 18 अगस्त तक कोच लगाए जाएंगे। 1’12571 हमसफर में गोरखपुर से 21 मई से 20 अक्टूबर तक तथा 12572 में आनंदविहार से 22 मई से 21 अगस्त तक कोच लगाए जाएंगे।केस एक- 11 मई को गोरखपुर से रवाना हुई 12595 हमसफर एक्सप्रेस दूसरे दिन तीन घंटे की देरी से आनंदविहार पहुंची। 10 मई को आंनदविहार से रवाना हुई 12596 हमसफर दूसरे दिन तीन घंटे की देरी से गोरखपुर पहुंची।केस दो- 16 मई को गोरखपुर से रवाना हुई 12595 हमसफर एक्सप्रेस दूसरे दिन तीन घंटे की देरी से आनंदविहार पहुंची। 15 मई को आंनदविहार से रवाना हुई 12572 हमसफर दूसरे दिन 2.50 घंटे की देरी से गोरखपुर पहुंची।

Also, how Kalka Mail is getting priority these days despite having so many stops. While I have huge respect for the legendary train, it is sad to see that while trains with less stops like NorthEast are still stuck at Jeonathpur, Kalka Mail's status shows at "West Cabin Gaya". NFR passengers have NO OPTION at all.

Another one from today..Have a look at these 3 pictures..
Starts from CNB outer Bhimsen and ends at LKO outer Manak Nagar..A 2 min delayed turned into a 4 hour delayled train just from two famous outers..

Exactly! And some selected ones are always way behind their schedule.
Accepted that ther are N number of trains suffering, but atleast we can support the initiative taken by some RF's to make the tweets count in improving the punctuality. Its a long list, but if one receives the impact of twitter, we can set an example and the procedure will follow for other #heavilydelayed trains.

Suppose if we do campaign on Twitter and it get hit. Then it will start getting priority by looping other superfast or express trains thereby increasing their delay.
Hence it will lead to upgradation of one train but at expense of several others.
Instead you capaign for fast commission of dfc then I will also support you fully.

DFC will go at the pace it is going. If I am not wrong, they have allotted tenders. They have to come up with some short term solution. Presently they just want us to "bear" with them. Aise nahi hoga yar. Paise lene k time pe kaha jate hai ye log.

I m saying via patliputra . And from mfp and hjp sonpur there is not any train . Do you know how many stoppage there is between sonpur -Allahabad in present . I think ara and buxar will be must . Because these are important station of ecr .

I am also talking about PPTA. You can have that but that will be bane for the train only. I am aware about stops between Sonpur and ALD. And that's why I was suggesting a nonstop run post Sonpur. The shift of that quota towards HJP-SPJ passengers will be good for them only as there is rush throughout the year.

It's an old document. These 3 trains were initially proposed to be LHBfied but due to requirement of large number of LHB coaches for them and the zone receiving less number of coaches, this plan was cancelled and later Weekly trains were LHBfied. Even a cancellation of LHB for these trains document was further released.

Improve the organizational efficiency. The officials of zones like ECR or NCR provide a good example of this. While NCR does anything in the name of congestion, ECR is one step ahead and delays trains without even having such excuse.
Also Whatever work is on progress should have strict vigilance and tracking to ensure on time completion. Sad to see that tracks like Churu-Sikar are taking so much long time even after gauge conversion. Such examples are many in the ongoing projects and it is common for us to see that a project is taking months/years more than what was planned. Such a shame on the efficiency of the works carried out and headed by officials.

- पश्चिम रेलवे मुंबई मंडल के डिविजनल रेल प्रबंधक मुकुल जैन ने बताया कि बोर्ड ने हमसे मेंटेनेंस पर खर्च का ब्योरा मांगा है, जो हमने दे दिया है। मुंबई से सूरत के लिए पश्चिम रेलवे तेजस ट्रेन भी चलाने वाला है। यह दादर से सूरत चलेगी।
- रूट अपग्रेड होने से इसकी स्पीड भी बढ़ेगी। तेजस ट्रेन दादर से सुबह 7.20 बजे रवाना होगी। सुबह 10.50 बजे सूरत पहुंचेगी। वापसी में सूरत से शाम 4.55 बजे छूटेगी और रात 8.35 बजे दादर पहुंचेगी।

ट्रैक अपग्रेडेशन में क्या होगा
- मुंबई-दिल्ली रूट पर अभी 700 तीखे घुमाव हैं। ट्रैक अपग्रेडेशन के दौरान इन घुमावों पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाएगा।
- हाईस्पीड ट्रेन चलाने के लिए जरूरत पड़ने पर इन घुमावों को कम किया जाएगा। ओवरहेड वायरों को ट्रैक के समकक्ष लाया जाएगा।
- इसके अलावा पटरियों और स्लीपर की भी जांच होगी। खराब या जर्जर पटरियां व स्लीपर पूरी तरह से बदले जाएंगे। रास्ते में पड़ने वाले पुलों को भी हाईस्पीड ट्रेनों के माफिक अपग्रेड किया जाएगा।
- सिग्नल सिस्टम भी आधुनिक होगा। यानी ट्रेन ड्राइवरों को रफ्तार के अनुरूप समय पर सिग्नल मिलेंगे, जिसमें अभी दो मिनट का समय लगता है।

HWH-CSTM, HWH-MAS carry more freight than NDLS-BCT, but neglected in DFC too.

* Delhi-CNB was made fit for 130 kmph Rajdhani many decades back as 130kmph Rajdhani trains were introduced only on NDLS-HWH/BCT routes and MAS-BZA-HWH did not have any 130kmph train in past.
* There was not enough ac traffic on MAS-BZA route. Even Shatabdis introduced on the route have to be withdrawn due to lack of traffic. Only after introduction of ACIII coaches did the Rajdhanis proliferated to other cities and MAS-BZA got 130kmph fit Rajdhani train in 1994.
* Even today very few premium trains operate on MAS-BZA route, which is demotivating factor for IR to invest much on speed upgradation.
* If IR start operating all non ac LHB trains at 130kmph as a policy matter, the speed upgradation to 130kmh (from 100/110kmph at present) shall be required on a massive scale.

* Both routes i.e. NDLS-CNB & MAS-BZA are 130kmph, but the former is faster as its terrain (plain) as well as the track geometry is much better.
* Rs. 20000 crores had been sanctioned for speed upgradation of NDLS-BCT/HWH routes so as that the upgradation job of these lines and completion of the DFCs along these lines shall coincide and 160kmph trains with an avg speed of 100-120kmph shall be a reality on these routes. The other trunklines then shall be much slower with avg speed of just 70-90 kmph.

* Will you consider premium trains only to be a factor of speed upgradation? Why are then, other non premium superfast trains along NCR upgraded to 130? MAS-BZA serves huge traffic from Delhi-Chennai line, Howrah-Chennai line. Hence, the traffic is not just from these areas only, but also from adjoining regions like Northeast in case of Howrah and Northern & Western India in case of Delhi-Chennai line? While introducing surge pricing in premium trains, Railways confessed that premium trains carry 0.6 % passengers. I find it hard to believe that policies of speed upgradation are framed by keeping that 0.6% passenger share in the mind.

premium trains, MAS-SBC section has decent number of premium trains to invest in. Still nothing for last 20 years.
* 15 years time is too much to give an excuse of track geometry. And at the end, you are proving my point, that while other routes that carry significant passenger segment are still lingering around speed of 100 or 110, some are upgraded to even higher. LHB technology is in place for around a decade or so. Rake conversion and line upgradation can allow 130 kmph speed in central/south India as well. Similar thing has been possible along Delhi-HWH chord line just because everything was in place. But now we have LHB trains along South India, more are coming; but we do not have infrastructure to run them at MPS, just like there are no intentions to do so.
At the end when, a particular part has been ignored, ignoring it further wont create harm because focusing on one area is enough to generate required media hype and applause.

Improvement in track layout/geometry is a costly proposition and should be carried out if there are sufficient number of trains/rakes which can be operated at 130kmph speeds.

Till date trains with non ac coaches are limited to 110kmph speed, and 130 kmph non ac LHB trains are just a few in number. (Surprisingly their avg speeds have not improved significantly after speed increase from 110-130kmph, and their avg. speeds are too less than Raj speeds on the routes). Probably IR is testing their performance, before makig it a policy decision.

Scope for large scale upgradation of IR tracks to 130kmph shall take place once IR make it a policy to operate all non ac LHB trains at 130kmph.

Track geometry which put speed restriction on trains is gift of British era. Since most of the tracks were laid pre independence era when much lower operating speeds were prevalent, the track geometry was not planned for higher speeds. Not much/enough has been done in 70 years of independence to improve the track geometry & train speeds in IR. Many Gauge converted routes with good pax. traffic potential like SBC-MAC, SBC-CBE etc are badly suffering due to poor track geometry.

IR was busy with continuous struggle to raise funds (with minimal raise in pax fares) for absolutely essential capacity augmentation needed to carry the traffic offerings and funds for improving track geometry for increasing speed could not get due attention.

To be frank, almost all non-AC LHB with 130 run on the grand chord route. And it is not the inefficiency of speed but high congestion that holds back the performance of those trains. This is coupled with the fact that most of the other trains still run at 110 MPS. Once all are upgraded to LHBs and cleared for 130, average speeds will go up. And trains trains along Delhi-Kanpur are getting LHB one by one (which is more than other routes) which will make this thing real, in future.

click here This document will give an insight that Delhi-Kolkata/Mumbai are not the only Grade A lines in the Railways network. Improvement in track layout/geometry is absolutely a costly proposition but should be carried out on a large scale unbiased basis rather than prioritizing a couple of particular railway lines. This is same as the rich getting richer and poor remaining unchanged.
