If u want to reach Chennai Central station this is the station u need to alight if u travel by suburban train(Tambaram/Chengalpattu - Beach section).
U need to use FOB to reach Chennai central station. If u have heavy luggage means there is another exit with well laid path close to extreme end of platform towards north direction which it directly take u to Main highway road in front of Chennai Central station signal then u have to cross the road.
As Chennai Metro rial work was currently under progress when it
completes it will be more convenient for passengers transit to Chennai central station. As Subway facility will be available when the work completes.

Yes, but only u can go for up direction not for down direction. For getting down u have to use temporary steel steps constructed by Chennai Metro which was difficult to climb down if u have heavy luggage. Even a slight miss will make u fall from the steep steps.

if u want to reach Kanchipuram u can get down at Arakkonam station and catch bus bound for kanchipuram. Travel time will be around one hour.Every 15 to 20 minutes bus to kanchipuram was available. Kanchipuram was famous for silk sarees and temples.
From outside Arakkonam railway station share autos available round the clock to reach bus stand. If u have no luggage means u can also walk it will take just 5 to 10 minutes only to reach bus stand.

Last week when i travel from Pune to CGL it was arrived at Platform 6 at Pune station and CGL at platform 3.When i booked my ticket it was WL 21 and confirmed on the day of journey.Unreserved passengers boarding at regular intervals but still it is manageable for reserved passengers. If u raise ur voice against them they will leave. Good no of end to passengers mostly to Tirunelveli, Madurai. As it has pantry car food is available round the clock . Not much problem of hijra's but still couple of times they came if u act like sleeping u can escape if u r lucky. When it is arrived at Pune it was jam packed with unreserved passengers even in reserved compartments from Mumbai.
Pune 30 minutes late and started only at 4.45 pm and reached CGL by 2pm.

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
