I was going through the U.P. map, and thought an idea about making this station as the junction station, as shown in the map. This new route can also be the alternative to congested NDLS-CNB route, especially for CNB terminating trains, coming from NDLS side.
Example Shram Shakti Express, via GZB-MB-BE-HRI-ON-CNB. This overall route may take 8 hours for a superfast, but will improve the timings for NDLS-CNB pax of this train.
Also the trains from Farukhhabad (like JP-LJN Express) can come to Hardoi directly from Farukhhabad, skipping CNB (JP-CNB section
already have too many trains).
Among BSK, Vaishali, Gorakhdham etc, those take LKO-CNB-ETW-TDL route, a one or two can be diverted via LKO-HRI-FBD-SKB-TDL route. With so many trains from NDLS and Bihar to CNB, I dont think CNB will have any problem in diverting 1-2 trains.
In future, after electrification and speed upgradation of the section, Even a few Rajdhani's can also be diverted through this route.
Also, Can be an alternate NDLS-ALD route via: MB-BE-HRI-ON-UCR.
Suggestions please.

Well NR LKO-BE-MB-GZB ko 130 upgrade krne me itna jyada invest ni Krne wala bcoz they have an alternative route via CNB jo ab 160 upgradation me h...bs 21 km long h...and in a news article CNB-LKO has been identified for speed upgradation along with the HWH-NDLS route...so better h ki CNB-LKO upgrade ho jaye jldi se

It cannot be so strongly said that Railways will not invest in LKO-MB-NDLS route. Quite a few premium trains are currently running and some may also be introduced in future. So possibility is never out of equation. Where as talking about CNB-NDLS and it's so called speed up gradation to 160 kmph as you said, even if it upgrades to 200kmph, saturation is also a parameter. The section is super-saturated at present, and with the future speed-up it may come down a bit but newer trains will balance the saturation then. Lastly talking about upgradation of LKO-CNB section, the soil here is a typical one. It's more of a deposition of sediments Ganges carries from Himalayas which gets deposited in plains. It's tricky soil which doesn't allows massive speed-ups. Elsewise RB would have done that quite before. Speed-Ups could be a minor one, in this section. So, investing in MB route...

Nothing other than NRs fault..NR is doing nothing for this region and LKO as well..1972 was the last time 2 platforms were added to LKO NR with 50 trains running..And now the count is 300+ trains and still the same number of platforms..Whose falt is this..?
The line for GKP BSB ALD anywhre passes through Dilkusha Cabin which still had just 1 incoming and 1 outgoing lines..still not any of the outer lines through here have 3rd 4th line..I wonder who neglcts a state capital by such margin..
LKO has a very
good inter-state connectivity but for south regions u need to have a look at CNB NDLs for traveling..
And this is just Beacuse of NRs fault othrwise u wud have had half of the Rajdhanis Durantos running via LKO..
So for evrything it is just NRs fault for not doing anything for this region...
If even in 2017 a trains takes 90-100 min to cover 74Km LKO-CNB distance..This is a question mark on IR and NR..

Investing in NDLS-MB-LKO wudnt be bad...bt the thing is NCR has some plus points over the NR line like upcoming EDFC reducing the load almost to half as freight goes off from the line ...and NCR route has a special attention of RB for semi high speed corridor already....

अपनी-अपनी टेनों को समय पर चलाने की होड़ में रेलवे दूसरे जोन के साथ भेदभाव करने से पीछे नहीं हट रहा है। रेलवे बोर्ड की नसीहत के बावजूद उत्तर प्रदेश के रेलवे के तीन बड़े जोन उत्तर रेलवे, उत्तर मध्य और पूवरेत्तर रेलवे के बीच आपसी तालमेल नहीं बन रहा है। नतीजतन ट्रेनों को इसी तरह आउटर पर रोका जा रहा है।
एक1शुक्रवार को आनंद विहार लखनऊ एसी डबल डेकर लखनऊ के लिए रवाना हुई। बरेली समय से पांच मिनट पहले 6:33 बजे पहुंच गई। यहां से छूटी तो मुरादाबाद मंडल ने कई बार रोका। ट्रेन लखनऊ पहुंचने तक 55 मिनट लेट हो गई।
केस दो 1ट्रेन 12533 पुष्पक एक्सप्रेस लखनऊ से मुंबई के लिए शुक्रवार को सही समय पर रवाना हुई। यह ट्रेन कानपुर सेंट्रल के आउटर पर पहुंचते ही थम गई। ट्रेन को 1:15 घंटा कानपुर गंगा पुल से स्टेशन के बीच रोका गया।

Some exerts from the report submitted by Bibek Debroy High level committee on restructuring of Railways in year 2015. Here are some vital stats regarding 16 premium trains of Indian Railways(Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duranto) taken as a sample and their per trip profit or loss.
Most Profit Making Trains of Indian Railways-
1) BCT-NDLS-BCT Rajdhani- Per trip profit---> Rs. 3,14,516
2) RJPB-NDLS-RJPB Rajdhani- P.t.f--->
Rs. 2,57, 716
3) NDLS-HBJ-NDLS Shatabdi- P.t.f--> Rs. 2,49, 994
For more information related to left trains out of those 16, plz. refer the attached pic.
KEY POINTS- **All 5 Durantos taken up for study are heavily loss making.
** NDLS-DBGR Rajdhani- Biggest loss making premium train of Indian Railways.

If ur traveling in a 130 MPS train that gets high priority in NDLS-CNB-MGS section then this section is the best..
But other than that MB-LKO-VNS gets u an on time arrival..

Does this Rajdhani has the most nearest next halting station enroute as it stops at ppta and then at dnr in a difference of 5kms. If yes then why? Atleast one station can be skipped or is it necessary to have stoppages at these two stns.

Jammu rajdhani isn't an exception..because Jammu isn't connected to NDLS via shatbdi..Therefore a rajdhani is present there..Plus large number of people want to arrive Jammu in the morning itself..Nobody wants a noon or night arrival there..So an overnight rajdhani is there..
