Yo, to make changes for State's development, they suggesting moving some divisions around. They want your input on which ones to go ahead with and which ones to ditch. Check it out:
1. Move RTM division to WCR.
2. Shift Kota division to NWR.
3. Switch Nanded division to CR.
4. Move Ratnagiri-KR to CR.
5. Move Karwar-KR to SWR.
6. Move Thokur-Mangaluru Jn/Central- Bantawala to SWR.
7. Move Lucknow NR division to NER.
8. Shift Manjhi-Chhapra/Thawe-Siwan-Chhapra to ECR.
9. Transfer Kharagpur division to ER.
10. Switch Singrauli- Chopan - nagar Untari to WCR.
11. Katihar div to ER.
12. Move Hotgi-Wadi to SWR.
Creating a new zone doesn't seem likely due to budget cuts. I'm all for the 9 zone setup, but IR seems to be giving in to political pressure for votes. Makes you wonder, right?

Just had a random idea... What are the long trains that share or used to share coaches at the other end?

Here are some I can think of:
- HWH CSMT HWH Gitanjali and PURI HWH PURI Sri Jagannath (Puri station, as far as I know)
- HWH HYB HWH East Coast and RNC HWH RNC Kriya Yoga (HTE station)
- Ranchi Howrah Intercity and Howrah Purulia Exp (HTE station)

Yo, here's my suggestion. I think the Railways should switch up their standardization formula for the Rakes. For those long-haul superfast trains clocking more than 18 hours, we're talking one coach of AC First class, a minimum of 2 and a max of 3 coaches for AC Second class, 5 coaches for AC Three Tier, 2 coaches for AC Three Tier Economy, anywhere between 6 to 8 coaches for Sleeper class, and at least 1 SLRD plus 4 coaches for General class. Now, for those shorter trips under 18 hours, we're looking at 1 coach of HA1, 1 coach of AC Second class, 6 coaches for AC Three Tier, 3 coaches for AC Three Tier Economy, 5 coaches for Sleeper class, and 1 SLRD plus 5 coaches for General class. And let's not forget the intercity trains where we need 1 coach of AC Three Tier Economy, 3 coaches of AC Chair Car, 6 coaches of Non-AC AC Chair Car, 8 coaches of General Sitting, 1 SLRD, and 1 EOG. When it comes to ICF rakes for intercity travel, swap out an Economy coach for a 3A coach and keep the rest the same as mentioned earlier. Lastly, for Janshatabdi trains, we're talking 5 coaches of AC Chair Car, 12 coaches of Non-AC Chair Car, 1 SLRD, and 1 EOG. Peace out!
