Lovely pics sir. I remember watching these beauties hauling Sethu,RMM Exp,Kamban and what not from my aunt's balcony in MKK during my childhood. BTW, just wanted to know, can public bid for locos and coaches which are due for scrap, give them a good coat of paint, refurbish them and use it like a personal train?

Last Tuesday, while I was returning back to SSPN by Kondaveedu Express, YPR-INDB left from PF4 with a SWR rake while the WR rake for this train was on PF5. Why was this done?

Something going on with this train since couple of months. If the primary maint. is shifted to YPR, then there will be PR. Also, the number of the train may change

Hi all. I am posting a trip report here after a long time.
As usual, things began when my new collegemates pinged me on Thursday night at 10:45pm asking me if I could join them for a Chennai temple tour. I agreed and decided to book a up and down by Mail.
Coach number:S3
Berth Number:36
Coach Make:13223
Loco:RPM WAP7
To reach SBC,I went to KGI to take Hampi Express which arrived on the dot with a KJM WDP4B 40002. The train sped past the suburbs and as usual was halted at Binny Mill for

25 minutes. We pulled into pf 6 with the Lalbagh Express on PF5. I entered the platform 1 where the rake was already standing. My coach was a 13 make with bio-toilets. Soon, GHY SF was backed into PF2 and the unreserved coaches became full in an instant. The GHY SF was to be led by oldie WAP1 of RPM. At 22:45, our loco, a P7 gave a toot and I was off to the city I proudly call my hometown. TheTTE checked the tickets and I clambered onto 27 Ub at the behest of an old lady. BNC was dispatched in no time and I decided to turn in for the day. After an unscheduled halt near BYPL, our train started accelerating like the rear was ignited with a pair of rocket boosters.
I slept and woke up near VysarapadI, and to my surprise we were late!!!. Soon, a WAP4 crossed us with a train bound to Kerala I guess and she was followed by a TNP WDM2S leading a rake of old coaches. We finally got.the green signal to go and reached MAS at 5am pf 10. The rake of Howrah mail was on platform 9 and the loco was a ET P4.
I made my way to Park and took a local to MKK to my aunt's place. My Chennai adventure had begun.
