An earth slip has occurred between #Kallar – #Hillgrove railway stations of #NilgiriMountainRailway, obstructing traffic. Train No.06136 #Mettupalayam–#Udagamandalam train has been cancelled on 18.05.2024.

Passengers are being given full refund of ticket fare.

Returned from MAO by 12218 CDG KCVL KSK from MAO.

The train was more than an hour late when it reached MAO and I was actually cursing the controllers....

All trains platforms except ours was announced and I was waiting at PF 1. But it was displayed that Konkan Kanya would come there.

MAO MAQ VB was at PF. 2 and Mangala came at 3.

Still nothing happened. After VB departed, I thought it would come at 2. Then it showed at 2 that 22653 TVC NZM SF would arrive there. Proper announcements were not present and I went mad. Atlast I said it will come at 3 and it came at 3. Left with a triple jerk from MAO and the jerks were present throughout the journey and the flat wheel made me more mad. Somehow slept and reached ERS around 8:30 today morning.

Maybe the draft gear rubber pads of the coach's coupler setup had completely worn off.
This might have been the issue in this coach.

and I had smelled an OT by 16316 KCVL MYS Exp.
And we were overtaken by it at ERN, the first of 5 overtakes (Only 2, including this were the scheduled OTs).

Slept after SRR and had a nice jerk-free sleep (This was the best sleep I had in my recent train journeys). Woke up around 5 am and thought we entered KR and we were held for crossing as the train slowed. To my surprise, I heard 'Yathrakaarude Sradheykku' which means 'Passengers your attention please'. I was astonished and I ran down from my Upper Berth and found that we were in Kasargod. Departed quickly and reached Ullal around 5:30 am. We were held for 1hr there and was overtaken by TVC NZM Raj and MAQ bound West Coast. Then spotted Vistadome coach for the first time with MAJN-YPR-Karwar Exp.
Entered Konkan and we were given less priority by the KR controllers. Only the LTT ERS DR was held for us.
We were held for other trains. We were OT'd by ERS NZM DR, and by MAQ MAO VB. Many trains crossed us and we were held at almost all stations enroute. I got down at all stations where all we stopped due to fantastic KR controlling. Reached somehow at MAO around noon.
