Agreed with great happiness... This is the best ONT between Mao and Mumbai... Speed and Clean even in monsoon. But punctuality it is too bad, but still ok.

2A and 3A coaches are maintained superbly and have awesome cleanliness standards.
Sleeper coaches have average maintainance and decent cleanliness levels.
But the AC coaches are just top notch.

Even sleeper classes are comparatively good. One who usually travel in AC coaches can still travel in sleeper class in this train. Toilets are also clean.

Typical old coaches are attached in this train and toilets are quite clean on Day 1. But there is no on board cleaning or intermediate cleaning at any of the stations leaves the fate of the toilets very bad on Day 2.

Firstly, my comments for TEN-DR train (not DR-MAO-TEN).
Then, in either directions, for first day, Toilets are good, but it becomes bad on Day 2, which is a big problem for people who are traveling to longer distances, not just DR-MAO...

I can understand your feelings, but more descriptions regarding this issue, would have been made this tip much better. First, the impression on the catering lies on the attitude of the serving person. Most of the times I/my friends have seen rude and arrogant servers who things we're getting free food despite paying more than Rs. 400/- in ticket itself.
Secondly, coming to the real issue of food, these people do not even provide sticks and butter before soup, instead giving just soup mixed with toasted pieces of bread. If you're traveling in a group, then, they provide just one tray with tea bags for all.. Food quantity is too less even for 12 yr old kid and quality is

really bakwas than the roadside PF shops. It is completely irritating for regular travellers to travel with this train by paying extra money and suffering from hunger throughout the journey. So I had given green signal when it comes to the tip for Food/Catering.
The best food (and value for money) one can get from any Rajdhani means, it is Dibrugarh Rajdhani, in my personal opinion.
In a final touch, these catering fellows demanding money from the passengers in multiples of 100s and if anyone gives less (eg. Rs.50/-), just tells to them that, you take it as my tip and returns or scolds them. Why the h**l in this Earth anyone should listen to these manners less people words by paying excess money.
Unless or until if one cannot avoid this train, then should choose, otherwise, considering the atrocities of catering, please prefer even sleeper class of anyother regular trains, please. Further, please do not suggest me for writing complaint and blah blah blah... I have done enough with this and nothing changed...

It's again a "wrong message that Catering Available" for this train which is actually not. From Calicut station onwards, one can get food from outside vendors by your own. Until Calicut, getting a proper water bottle also is not possible. So one should carry food, water etc. by own.

From LTT-Calicut, no food is available except some snacks like vada pav etc., Even in Mangalore junction and many other stations, its very hard to find any eatables.. I was running end to end of the platform and could found only some fruits and genuine water bottles in just one shop... There were only coffees and no Tea in many stations till Calicut. In the return I've no idea for this particular train. In overall experience in the Konkan route for the past one year, all of the trains in the route face the similar problem. You've to carry food from home if no pantry car is there in any of the train. If your train schedule is good, you can get food at Madgaon and you may pre order as well..
