You can check the concerned sites like IRCTC /Makemytrip for Ticket/Hotel Accommodation. Take the Nilgiri Express from Chennai to Mettuppalayam and proceed to Ooty in the famous Nilgiri Passenger.

I believe that as the train belongs to SWR, they decides what loco should be allotted. The trains that change loco at Erode (12677) is SR.
