because of Remote location (RL) quota, my ticket is wait-listed from my preferred Source station.
But in the same train , I find that there is availability of tickets from many other locations(before my home location) to the same destination station.
Why does this happen?
In such a case can I book a ticket from some station before my source station by paying...

Can Tatkal Tickets be booked from any station or can they only be booked from the stations where the train stops?

please could anyone tell me if my tickets are going to be confirmed?
IRCTC has deducted extra money(in excess to the Rs. 20/- that is charged for e-ticket) from my account after I booked online tickets today. What should I do?
