Train takes 11hrs & 15 mins to cover distance between Maogaon to Panvel & that too with only 1 technical halt. Fastest train on the section, Janashatabdi takes 4 hrs less & even Overtakes the Duranto. The Manglore Mumbai Superfast also taks 3 hrs 30mins less than Duranto on this section, IR has to seriosly look into this on Priority the train.is a.huge white elephant.......and apparently its poor timings have played spoil sport......hope fully this should be withdrawn and instead a new sf should take its place ..... 4 posts are hidden. Today on my route to Mumbai on 12952, i was sharing a Coupe with Senior Manager of Western Railway, who mentioned that the announcement of new Rajdhani on Mumbai Delhi route is round the corner. Train will depart from both the ends at 15.30pm reaching destinations at 7.30am & breakfast would not be served during the journey. This will results into a single pantry & additional 2A coach. Great news, But i think it would not be a 16 hrs run, could be slightly more than 16 hrs so that this train 12951/52 can maintain supremacy over the route... It will be nubered as 12951A / 12952A & will maintain the same speed as well as Service Levels of the King....Train will be flagged of in next one month.... Another decision without application of mind. Instead of that start bct-ndls duronto at the time you have mentioned and make it daily. A new train will congest the already congested route. also add 6 more coaches to bct-ndls duronto from 16 to make it 22. Ohh so it will act as subordinate to the King, That's great... I think the good & viable option is speeding up Konkan Kanya by at least 60-90 mins so that it can reach Mao by 9.00am-9.30am 1 posts are hidden. Click to open. The biggest Problem will be that the Rake would be idle for almost 15 hrs in both the stations unless start one more Morning service like Mandovi, i dont think, KR or CR will start 4th over night Train on regular basis other than specials during summers / Ganapati / Christmas time. Do you expect the Ganapati AC special to overtake all the regular trains & cover the distance in 8 hrs, when regular train Priority Trains like Janshatabdi or even Ernakulam Duranto is taking 11 hrs.. currently there are 5 additional over night specials planned during that time & hence this train then has 9-10 crossings during the journey. Certain Slacks have been allowed... LTT drnt reaches MAO at 07.10 hrs so is this train... But the fact remains, when u call it a special, it can be late by an hour or two.... The major reason is all trains have been given a certain entry and exit time in KR. If one amongst these trains gets delayed by even 15 mins, it has repercussions on all other trains.... It is one of these reasons that u see certain trains arrive well before schedule on certain days while on others get delayed.... Why i am so practical because couple of months back i had seen ADI-MAO AC Special with ADI Rajdhani Rake was overtaken by Janshatabadi at Rajapur, ADI-MAO had left Panvel around 2.00am & JS had left Panvel by 6.40am still the overtaking happened well before even KKW, so dont expect any kind of Priority or even a regular schedule for any AC or Non AC special on Single Track line. we can debate over its theoretical possibility but practically it wont happen Sep 03 2012 (11:50PM) ↑⇑ ↓⇓ ←→ Awaiting CR ACfication*^ 4817 blog posts 11386 correct pred (64% accurate) ![]() Do check the slack tym it has been given and you will not be surprised that JNS crossed this..... However, this is monsoon schedule it can move faster. I am a regular traveller by 12133 and have seen 12133 speeding like anything in ni8 tym....in monsoon leaving me to think whether monsoon schedule is really being implemented. For change at last moment extra Fisrt AC coach of NR added to Deputy King from Delhi because of VIP Moment. The coach interiors are really pathetic with all the comfort of & Service of WR is missing ( NR Staff ), No woolen blankets in First AC. The Pantry attendant also openly accepted the fact that NR is way behind WR is Service & Maitaiance.
