Shiv Ganga Express is an Indian Super-fast train of North Eastern Railway Zone named after the two jewels of Varanasi: Lord Shiva and the Ganges river. The main towns along the route are Allahabad and Kanpur.It was passed in 2002's railway budget and hence initiated its journey from 1 July,2002 It operates daily and covers a distance of 758 kilometres (471 mi) from Varanasi to New Delhi. Shiv Ganga Express consist of 24 coaches which includes 1 First AC coach, 1 Second AC coach, 4 Third AC coach, 10 Sleeper Class coaches,5 General (Un-Reserved) coaches, Pantry Car and 2 SLR overall 24 coaches that makes it one of the longest trains in India. Shiv Ganga Express is usually hauled by a WDM 3A Locomotive from Varanasi Jn to Allahabad Jn and by a WAP 4 Locomotive from Allahabad Jn to New Delhi. It is considered as the best train between New Delhi and Varanasi. It has got a maximum speed of 120 kilometres per hour (75 mph)

Left Hotel room early so that I can get to see HBJ station and few trains before boarding my train. As I entered Goa exp was skipping HBJ with good speed. Checked pf# for my train it was 1 so decided to do some RF and walked to pf # 3, where I got chance to see GT ,MYS-JP SF, Gondwana, Rewanchal SF. really deserved ISO trade mark. As it was close to 9pm went back to pf#1 where I bought 2 thali’s Rs. 80/- each, to my shock the thali was awesome. Finally rake arrived @ 9:10pm, I entered inside my coach uffff it was pure clean including wash rooms and I understood why ISO trade mark is given to this 12155. Guys who didn’t travel by ISO train should atleast try once to see what ISO actually mean.
Train departed bang ontime @ 9:15pm but reached BPL bit late and again departed after 5 mins from BPL, I got call from Mr. Manit to say ‘final bye’. Train reached Vidisha and was made to wait for 10 mins Suddenly my train stopped for more than 10 mins and I was able to hear horn "pooom pooom" when I looked, it was Coolest girl LGD WAP7 with her hottest boy friend "Bangalore Rajdhani" burning vidisha with over 135+kmph. And it was great treat for me as I was seeing Bangalore Rajdhani with WAP7 for the first time directly. Also felt that Rajdhani saying -->> Hey dude!! You forgot me? Not to be seen these days.
After 18 mins train departed from Vidisha, Now its most interesting part -> 2 boys and a girl were trvlg from BPL to AGC,they were shouting and spking disturbing everyone. Wch made few pax to ask them to keep silence wch indeed made them to sleep. SLB-first guy was sleeping,SUB second guy and girl were sharing. Everything was smooth with them until TTE came and asked them for ticket where second guy was trvalld with UR ticket without paying penalty/TTE’s knwldge. So TTE asked him to pay 300 rs/- extra wch he refused and started arguing to fine him 50 rs/- ,this lead TTE to break his nerve and asked him to move from reservation coach , the guy got down @ BINA but came back again and took the girl to TTE and after some time first guy too went. Now TTE comes back to der seat and waits for them, they returned(not sure wher they went) TTE again asked him to pay 300 rs/-,second guy was able to convince TTE and paide only 100 rs/- . Now, Is this right??
This made me sleep @ 3am and these guys started shouting again but this time it was 6 am, and they were stil onboard wch means that train was running late and reached AGC @ 6:30am, and reached MTJ 1 hr late. Soon after departing from MTJ train stopped some where,where there was no station and it was BCT-NDLS Raj this time with rocketing speed. And finally reached NZM 1 hr late. This is the 3rd time I am seeing this train arriving 1 hr late @ NZM. Is it normal?

Dream journey”12002-NDLS BPL Shatabdi Express”.
Thinking of my dream journey I couldn’t sleep whole night and was waiting for the time to hit 4:30am as I booked my cab @ 4:30am to NDLS. As soon as it was 4am,started getting ready and got call from cab driver saying he reached my location. So I took my belongings and boarded my cab and reached NDLS by 5:15am. My friend had to join me from Noida sector 48, So called him to find out his location but he gave me shock saying that he is still waiting for the cab. I told him try to get auto/taxi/anything and reach NDLS before 6am as I am not gonna cancel my journey for him. Hence he took some other cab @ 5:35am and told...

me that he will try maximum to reach NDLS before 6am. I didn’t wanna go back home so went to PF#1 and the king was entering on PF was so happy to see WAP5 30003 bringing 12002. I took deep look at different coaches of 12002. Few details for rail fans/public of seating accommodation are as follows:-
1)C6 and C9 have seats starting from 1 facing towards Loco side.
2) C1-C5,C7-C8,C10,CE1,CE2 have starting from 78 facing towards Loco side.
3) E1 is better than E2.
After this, I got chance to look at NDLS-AII shatabdi which recently got LHB. I felt those coaches were not brand new. Time was hitting 5:55am , I called my friend and he said he reached NDLS but the other side so I asked him to run and reach pf #1. I was still on call and he finally reached Pf#1 and 12002 got amber/green signal so I asked him to board any coach and come to C7. Due to this I missed to capture pics @ NDLS. He came to C7 and as soon as he reached, Newspaper and water bottles were given. And my friend was totally surprised to see this as he was not aware of trains/is a RF. To this, I told him snacks/Break fast/Lunch etc also would be given shortly ,You just relax and enjoy the king’s ride. He was surprised to see the train blasting NZM where I showed him SBC Rajdhani.
12002 started hitting its top speed and I was checking the speed on phone. Max speed between NDLS-AGC was 156kmph and AGC-BPL was 142kmph. Few observations during my journey are as follows:-
1) Gondwana passed with wap4 LGD @ sholoka
2) Completely slowed down at hodal.
3) TN blazed with 100+kmph afer 10 mins frm hodal.
4) Punjab mail was overtaken after 15 mins.
5) ypr-dee duronto passed in 4 mins frm overtake(Wch means YPR-DEE Duronto was behind TN).
6) Passed vrindaroad @ 7:17am
7) Reached mtj @ 7:22am
8) AP SF exp overtook BDTS-NZM yuva exp @ MTJ(AP-wap7 lgd, Garib rath->WAP4E BRC)
9) Break fast served @ mtj --bread omlet/idly optional (Complete details with pics/taste will be updated shortly).
10) Reached AGC @ 7:58AM--> but departed @ 8:10am
11) MAS Rajdhani -->crossed @ 8:16am
12) Mas duronto ---> crossed @ 8:21am
13) KERALA passed @ 9:18am
14) Reached GWL @ 9:29am
15) Kushinagar Exp passed @ 10:55am
16) Reached JHS @ 11:04am(Was halted for 20+mins for unknown reason)
17) Soup served @ 11:26am
18) Lunch was served @ 12:01pm
19) Crossed BINA @ 12:47pm (Ice cream was served).
20) Finally reached BPL @ 14:02am(3 mins early).
