Hits 120kph on regular in HB Chord which is it commercial MPS ! also Sometime it "Overspeed"s when it gets WAP7! i agree that LHB coach are marked for 160kmph. but LHB coaches attached with Rajdhani, shatabdi, duronto goes above 110kmph. SF /express trains runs at Max 112-113kmph. recently there was a news that LTT- Patna SF completed a section of journey at an average speed of 122kmph. but that cant be believed. wrong reporting by journalist. Tatkal booking experience at Byappanahalli BYPL This morning, my brother and I went to BYPL station for booking a tatkal ticket. We reached there at 9:30 AM, and to our surprise, there was no queue. There was only one working terminal and 2 staff, an elder person aged around 50 and a youngish guy in his late 20's. Elder guy said that this being a small station with only 1 terminal, they would first give preference to passengers of a train scheduled to arrive there at 10 AM, and Tatkal tickets would be issued only starting at 10:30. IR does not find alternate routes for new trains. For GHY-LTTAC Express, via MLDT-ASN-ROU-NGP was a better route. No train on this route with reserved coaches. Karmabhoomi Express is fully unreserved train. I think IR should augment Karmabhoomi with SL and AC coaches on experimental basis to see the response as this train connects Guwahati with Rourkela, Bilaspur, Raipur, Durg, Nagpur. yes quite right... from north east region they require train having sleeper coaches for mumbai. this was not fulfilled by starting karmabhumi and AC express. Click to open. train like Mahabodhi has got LHB coaches... but before Mahabodhi express, trains Like Geetanjali Express, TN Express, AP Express, Paschim Express, Gujrat Mail, Coromondel Express etc. should have been provided with LHB coaches. I am not saying that Mahabodhi is not an important train, but what other zones are doing. why they are not able to provide LHB coaches to there respective premier trains. i think ECR is doing good job, they gave Patna Rajdhani LHB coach and now two of the SF trains, Sampoornakranti & Mahabodhi, are also running with LHB coaches. other zones need to catch up. Adi, I think Mahabodhi is very popular among tourist visiting Gaya from New Delhi because of timing. LHBs are given in priority wise Shatabdis,Rajdhanis,Durontos later Premier SFs...Zones are asking for them for their premier trains but also due to political influences they are being given to some other trains which can't be told are in important priority list. Dont differentiate between Superfasts that this superfast should be given LHB first than that...what is difference between Mahabodhi and other mentioned SF?? Yes u can say that Rajdhanis/Shatabdis/Durontos must be given LHB before any SF.. yes maybe shortage is the main issue that other zones are not providing lhb to their important trains. there are many important trains which needs lhb soon . RCF produced only 300 lhb coaches during 2012 and their target for 2013 is around 700. moreover when the rcf in palakkad will complete it will produce around 400 lhb coaches annually. i think Bihar sampark kranti or vaishali is next in list from ECR zone. is there any ICE got LHB till now.
