Topic aside, one very interesting thing that was told was about 54703 Jodhpur Passenger (which I presume is the erstwhile Train No. 339). The no. of cancer patients travelling by this train to Bikaner is so high that the train is nicknamed as the "Cancer Express" (Bikaner hosts the Acharya Tulsi Regional Cancer Treatment Center). Trip Report 1 My First Garib Rath Journey I left my Home at sharp 2 Pm in the afternoon on 3rd May, catch a local from BEPR to VDLR (Via Harbour Line) then it takes Aprox 50 Min's to reach VDLR then, from VDLR i change my Platform to catch next Local for BA. Fortunately i got that local with in a minutes. then it takes hardly 30 Min's to reach BA than from BA i got a Cab to BDTS which is just few's Kms from BA. where i drank a Coke for Refreshment :) Beside Pf 1 12926 was Standing without fail i had taken a snap of it (This was the 1st Snap of My Journey) Side bt side i was Providing the Live Updates through My Mobile. It was 3:45 Pm when i saw a CLA/WDS Engine pulling 12909 GR towards the Station. Then, I get in to my Coach G11 the Coach was Quiet Clean Hygienic :) I Put my Luggage under the Berth then, i came out to take good snaps After 20 Min's an Off-link WAP 1 was Attaching to our Train. Coz of WAP 7 was not Present that's y it get an Offlink (Source:- LP ) Then i started taking Pic's and Videos. The Coach G15,G14,G13,G12, is full of CK and G15,G7,G2 Has Side Middle Berth's. My 1st Journey was to be Began :) It Depart's at sharp 4:55 Pm with Horning Unfortunately, one lady was fail to board the Train :( There were Only Few W/L's Passenger was Travelling. Then WAP 1 Started Blasting after BVI (The Speed Was GREAT) I Had Seen the Chart Before only that Berth no 32 will come after ST So i was Lying to Berth 31 and Resting :) I Was Trying to Lye of both the Berths but i was not able to do that :) :) :) After ST, that Berth no 32 Pax had changed his Berth to 63. On 63 a Young Photographer was Sitting he Requested him to change his Berth no 32 (That Fellow Happily changed his Berth) Then Our Train reached BRC on Time. After Crossed BRC i had my Dinner Lonely :) I sleep suddenly After i have My Dinner. Then, afer i woke up train has crossed MTJ. I Was Very Much Excited to Capture a Video of my 12483 Crossing but i don't know when our train had overtook 12483 :( :( It was Blasting near AST. TRIP REPORT here is my trip report of my journey in 10111 Konkan Kanya Express.i was waiting for this trip for so long,and now finally after 8 months i was going to my native place in konkan.i started late from home and reached mulund station at 9.50pm.now it was not possible to board my train at CST bcoz i would miss it and so decided to catch it at dadar.there was less rush at the mulund ticket counter and i quickly got the local train tickets.the indicator showed "10:01 DR Pf 2 ",it was a dadar local.so i quickly went to pf 2 and boarded the local.the local was empty and at about 10.40pm we reached dadar.got down from the local and went straight to Pf 5 where the konkan kanya was going to come.there was a lot of rush at... the Pf.i had two seats one in S5 and other in S7.both were seat number 7(side lower).at 11.05pm announcement was made that my train was soon arriving.the indicators showed the coach composition and i went and stood near the S7 indicator.i was waiting for the train and suddenly i heard a loco honking.it was non other than the ED shed WDM-3D with the madgaon mumbai jan shatabdi.the jan shatabdi came on pf 6 and left after a brief halt.after some waiting i saw headlights of a loco.this was my train,yeah.the loco was a KJM shed WDP-4 in LHF mode.it was looking like a beast and the sound it made was great.now people were ready to get into the train.seeing the huge crowd i felt as if we all were going on a mission,mission "seat pakdo".the train came to a halt and S6 coach came in front of me.there was a lot of rush while getting into the train but somehow i got in the s6 coach and wat i see nxt is that people are there everywhere on the floor.i had to go to my seat in S7 so after some careful walking i made it to my seat.kept my luggage and was njoying the journey.the train was going on at moderate speed till bhandup and then was crawling at nahur and finally came to a halt at mulund outer. Who will win the race PRS or IRCTC **************************** Mission was to book a return ticket from PGT to MAS. Unlike last week where i had to take a bus... Just reaching home at 5AM this morning went into a short hibernation.. The Alarm promptly rang at 7.10 AM and it was set in order to venture the PRS booking.. Thats when the idea struck.. I asked my brother to carry his laptop along with me to the PRS at PGTN.. Well there was a serpentine queue which had formed already for both the counters. So i occupied one of the queues and my brother was with the laptop.. Sharp at 8 AM the PRS started functioning however our site got into hibernation now.. I saw that the movement of the other queue was pretty slower than ours and thanked lady luck... By then my bro was frustrated with IRCTC. i had taught him TVC-GHY was filling up fast, followed by 16042. The PGT quota in 16042 is 16 in SL and 6 in 3A which got emptied in no time.. so i asked him to check the position from TCR for this train which had higher quota.. 12602 was fast filling.. 12624 tickets were filling faster than the MPS of this train... IRCTC was still constipated and was taking every step so very slowly.. by now i had traversed halfway through from where i was... 3rd from the counter now and my bro shouted.. all train filled up except for 12686 13 in SL , 4 in 3A , 7 in 2A was the status then.. i got to the counter and the lady said all SL/3A CK are running in WL and my bro hinted that 12686 had 3 more in 2A.. so i requested the clerk in 12686 2A and she hurriedly typed the details and told me 1 ticket available and i grabbed on to it. She hurriedly typed my details and the ticket was booked at 8.52 AM.. IRCTC Was still reluctant to go beyond the PLAN MY TRAVEL Screen. Thanking god and my luck was walking out of PGTN having a quick look at the ticket detail.. Ha ha the lady made a mistake while typing my ID details.. she typed E instead of F.. so i went back to the counter and told her the ID No mentioned was wrong and instead of F you have typed E.. she said dont worry thats fine tell the TTE that its just a tail that has grown to the F.. under pressure i appreciated her sense of humour and i headed back home with the happiness of procuring the last available confirmed ticket... PRS wins yet again...
hii all....jus wanted to share my experience on this train from ndls to bvi (ndls b'coz this was sum 15 yrs back and in those days this train use to depart frm ndls now frm nzm) 1.Arrived NDLS by 6.15 am (was sad to return mumbai as was in delhi for a month or so for my cousins wedding)..with soring eyes was not willing to go back...but aftr all had to... 2.Train arrived ndls by 7.20 am i guess 20 mins late....the shock was still to come.... 3.as far as i remember had our reservation in S12 coach which was supposed to be attached from ndls....and here was it.....jus attached to the train.....but to my shock what was it.....der was a lady MP... travelling by it...cant remember the name...and she was heavily drunk....and der were atleast 12-15 security personnels wid her.....ppl were not allowed to board the coach....i rushed to the tte...tol him the matter....he told he would look into the matter...and asked us to atleast board the train....sum how managed to hop into S1 coach ....as train was about to depart...train moved out of ndls.....slowly gathered speed.... 4.nxt halt fbd......jus could not find tte....as train jus halts for 2 mins....again hopped into S1...... 5.nxt halt MTJ......with me der were sum 20 ppl who were to board S12.....again TTE was not traceable.....den decided to pull the chain....and all of us pulled the chain...train stopped at MTJ for 15-20 mins...TTE came running....all were arguing with TTE....went to S12 to find out all the doors were locked from inside.....by this tym train whistled....again hopped into s1...train began moving.... 6.aftr few more halts this tym it was gangapur city where our patience broke out.....all of us again pulled the chain....and complained to the RPF personnels on the platforms.... 7.train was again halted for sum 30 mins..but the mp full drunk came out with a pistol in her hand.....and was not ready to allow anybody enter the coach....now TTE assured us that he will any how will accommodate into our coach... 8.Now it was KOTA Jn...where train halted and this was our victory......continuous chain pulling made the station master to arrive at platform....we all broke onto him....he den started arguing with the security guards of that MP.....he warned them dat if u dont open the door the train will not be given clearence..and will not be allowed to move further...and here comes the heavily drunk MP....outside...arguing....we showed her our tickets...at last aftr argument of sum 45 mins we sum how were allowed to board the coach...and she allowed us on one condition dat....aftr entering the coach the doors will not open untill train reaches SURAT....i guess she deboarded at SURAT....sum how arranged our luggage into our coach....(prestigious coach)...the coach was neat and clean....not even a single wrapper on the floor spic and span coach.....the doors were locked.....finally train departed KOTA at 4.10 i guess 1.30 hrs late.....and what a relief....we got...still was seeing dat lady MP again she started drinking...i was feeling dat we all r in prison...no one was allowed to deboard....and yes she allowed only to the ppl travelling upto MUMBAI......i dont noe what happ with the rest who were not travelling upto mumbai.....slept at 6.30 in the evening...as was completely exhausted....wen i woke up it was 3.10am....and that ass hole was not der....so understood that train has crossed Surat...jus freshened up....train reach bvi by 5.30am....a huge sigh of relief...but will never forget this journey of IR.... (THIS WAS MY EXPERIENCE TRAVELLING BY 2904....IN JUNE 1997) HATS OFF IR....!!!!! THANX FOR HAVING PATIENCE AND READING IT...!!!!
