Break Journey should also be permitted by IRCTC. Reservation form may have a column for Journey-from and to and column for reservation from and to. This facility is available in PRS bookings and may also be extended in online booking.

Railways should make mentioning ID card no compulsory at the time of PRS reservation as well as online booking of tickets.ID card no of at least one passenger must be mentioned at the time of booking and this should be checked by TTE in the train. This will help in reducing touts malpractices.
Seat availability is not being shown on the site even though I am using google chrome.This problem is persisting since last 4 days.When I press refresh button, it goes on showing 'wait'. Any one can help.
Why should Railways discriminate between e ticket and paper tickets purchased from counters, if the same remains waiting on preparation of chart? Like e tickets, such paper tickets purchased from PRS should also get automatically cancelled after preparation of chart if the ticket is not upgraded to confirm/RAC status.Passengers holding such tickets may be allowed to get refund from any PRS counter or station counters. Some counter can also be made at the platform itself for granting refund to such passengers.If some passenger wants to take a general ticket and refund of only difference amount, that should also be allowed from same counter so that he is not required to go to 2 different counters and join queue.Railway may also consider having a separate general coach for such passengers holding a general ticket (which may be of a different colour) to give them seats.
