I got only zero refund for the cancellation of waiting list Tatkal ticket. When contacted the irctc care,They say that the ticket is confirmed during chart preparation. I have cancelled the ticket on the booking day itself. I dont know why they have kept the cancelled ticket as waiting list until chart preparation (which usually happens before 4 hours of the train departure) to get it confirmed. We came to know that The Reservation Ticketbooked by dalals on opening day is on fictitius name. and they sell it on black. for this they have arrangement with running TTe in particular Rute. they will not ask Photo Id from the passanger who travel through these tickets. 1.so to stop this I suggest Railway have to carry surprise check of Photo Id spicially in summer also. 2.
